"Are you okay Y/N? Your stuff is on the ground." Jimin said. I sighed and uncurled myself from the toilet. I opened the stall to see his face full of concern.
My eyes were slightly puffy and red and my hair looked like a squirrel tried to plant an acorn in it. Not to mention my jacket is hanging off of my shoulders. Needless to say I looked like a mess.
"Yeah, I'm totally fine." I rolled my eyes and went to grab my stuff. Jimin grabbed my wrist as I went to leave the bathroom. I attempted to tug away but that appeared to be useless.
"You're not okay. What happened? You can talk to me, remember?" Jimin let go of my wrist. I nodded and took a deep breath.
"Someone recorded me talking to you outside. Since I'm the only one that can see you, it looked like I was talking to...well, nothing." My eyes started to sting as I remembered the way Avery acted.
"And...I think Avery hates me..." I wiped the small tears that managed to escape from my eyes.
"If you don't mind me asking, who's Avery?" Jimin tilted his head to the side.
"Avery is, well, WAS my friend until this whole video incident. I guess she thinks I'm a weirdo." I shrugged my shoulders.
Now that I think about it, she was never my friend. I've never really spoken to people so everyone thought I was strange. She was my friend out of pity. So in all actuality, I never had friends.
"I'm not going back to class. I'm probably going to head home since I'm able to walk to and from school." I walked to my locker and Jimin quietly walked along side me.
I scowled as I tore a sticky note with the words "ghost girl" written on it from my locker. I crumpled the note and threw it. Coincidentally it landed near the "NO LITTERING" sign.
"Are you going to get in trouble for this?" Jimin looked around to see if the coast was clear.
"I'm sure nobody will notice I'm gone. Even if they did, they wouldn't care. They might even be happy." I put on my backpack and proceeded to walk out of the school.
-
I unlocked my door and threw my backpack on the ground. Both of my parents work so they don't get home until later, unless it's on the weekends. I head upstairs and into my room to sit on my window seat. Jimin sits down next to me.
"I don't want to seem rude but, how did you die exactly?" I said hesitantly. Jimin looked at the ground.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked." I said quietly.
"No, it's fine. I should've told you. I died in a car accident." Jimin lightly smiled, but it quickly disappeared. The room filled with silence as I tried to find the right words.
Then I remembered something Jimin said when we first met.
"Well, I'm not supposed to be here actually. I have unfinished business. Before I can rest peacefully."
This car accident must be linked to the unfinished business. But does that mean he has to leave once the business is taken care of? Maybe I'll just stall on it. I'm not ready for him to leave.
