Chapter Two

You wake up the next morning to find- no one. Except for a piece of paper. "Call me sometime" you read the note in a quiet voice, then read his number underneath it. You grab your phone almost immediately and add it. You soon check the time and realise you have half an hour to leave the house, go back to yours, get ready and head off to a job interview. You spring out of bed, quietly, and rush out the door with your belongings. You hop in your car and drive home fast.

You hastily unlock your front door and run inside. You check your phone and sigh in relief, as your ride home only took five minutes. You jog upstairs and to your bedroom. You rummage through your drawers to find some suitable clothes. You put them on and speed into the bathroom. You fix your hair, teeth and do some concealer and lip gloss. Then you sprint out the door to the place your interview is at. It's called Hi5 Studios.

You pull into a car park, calm - for the most part. You look into the mirror and fix your collar, before getting out of your car and walking to the door.

You see a tall and dark guy opening the door for you. "Thank you," you say, a little more nervous than before. "No problem. My name's Kevin. I assume you are Y/N?" "Yes I am. I'm meant to be meeting with Matthias. So where do I go for that?" You ask chuckling a little. "Follow me" Kevin says cheerfully.

You go to a huge room with a massive desk and a bunch of chairs. "Sit here and I'll grab Matt." You nod in response and take a seat. You play with the fabric from the bottom of your shirt while waiting. A few moments later, an average height man with a dark beard walks in, holding a laptop and some papers. From checking out his Instagram account, you could easily tell this was Matthias. You stand up as he greets you.

"Hey, I'm Matthias - but call me Matt. I am the CEO of this YouTube network" Matt says warmly, holding out his hand. You shake and respond. "Hello, my name is Y/N" you reply trying not to sound nervous. You both sit down and he grabs the paperwork and a pen. He files through them and reorganises them, making them easier to access. He sits still for a few seconds, thinking, before opening his laptop...

// Time skip thirty minutes //

Matt looks at his watch as you sign the last paper, a smile plastered on your face. "That's the last one" he sighs out thankfully. You slump back in your chair, happy to have a cool new job. "Well Y/N, welcome to Hi5 Studios as the new audio guy - or girl - for Rekt!" He exclaims putting out his hand again. With a look of relief in your face, you shake his hand. "Yeah we really don't have a name for that job yet" he admits, laughing. You laugh along with him.

You both stand and you follow him into his office. He pulls some weird thing out of a drawer and hands it to you. You take it and look at it confused. He laughs and says "That's the thing you use for the entry doors. You hover it over the sensor and the door will unlock". You look at him while mouthing "ohhhh" as you start to understand.

He opens a different drawer and scans through it, quickly finding what he needed. A ring with a few of keys are in his hand. "These are for the offices. Audio room, filming room et cetera. You will be sharing an office with Paul and Tanner. Actually I'll have Tanner give you a tour of the studio right now. Good chance for you to meet everyone."

You nod, trying to take in all of the information you had just received. Shortly after Matt yells out to this Tanner guy, a tall and pale guy with blonde hair walks in. Which you assume to be him. "Tanner, this is Y/N. Y/N, this is Tanner." You nod and smile while shaking his hand. "Hey my name is Tanner and they call me mister steal-yo-hotdog" he laughs out the last part while pointing at his socks, which are in fact printed with them. "I'm Y/N and I'm working to man - or WOman - the audio for the channel Rekt." You say that cheerfully and Tanner smiles. "Sick, you are on the best channel" he giggles.

You have met everyone that is in blue base at the moment. You have also been to red base. As you and Tanner are walking and chatting to orange base, you see a familiar car in a parking spot. You stare at it for a moment, before realising that you have arrived at your final destination. You walk through the door and look around. It is quite small. You meet Mike and Gunner.

You and Tanner were about to walk into another office, but you hear a somewhat important conversation happening so you go upstairs instead. You met Cam. When you guys come down the stairs, you notice the once closed door is now open. The two of you walk in. You meet a guy with a dope fade {anyone see what I did there. No no just me okay} named Patrick. You turn your attention to the other dude in the room and realise you know exactly who that is. It's Woods.

You both stare at each other, smiling. Tanner and Patrick quickly acknowledge this and make a coughing sound. "So Y/N, this is Woodland Demars, or Woods for short. Woods, this is the new audio person for Rekt, named Y/N". You and Woods stare at each other once more before breaking it. "Hey, do you wanna head back to our office?" Tanner offers. "No, but thanks. Pat is gonna show me how to use the audio programmes."

Tanner leaves. Patrick immediately looks at you, then to Woods, then back to you. "Look, I don't know how you know each other, but it looks like you both want to talk. So I will head out for about ten minutes and when I come back, we can start audio. Okay?" Pat says. You and Woods silently nod. Patrick then grabs some papers on his desk and leaves.

As soon as he closes the door, you rush over to Woods and hug him. Your mouth turns into a fairly wide grin. His face mirrors the same. After a moment, you break apart and just stare at one another. You fight the temptation to kiss him, but rather stand awkwardly. He clears his throat, asking for your attention. "Hey Y/N. So how have you been?" Woods awkwardly tries to make small talk. "We literally hung out last night." You giggle at his attempt and watch him turn a light shade of red.

"Okay, well which channel are working on?" He asks curiously. "Um I think it's called Rekt" "Hey I'm on that channel - well most times"
'Oh crap' you think. 'I'm going to have to work with him.' 'How am I gonna manage that?' 'Do we both still have feelings from last night?' 'Am I just overthinking this? Well yeah, probably'...

"Hey, Y/N. You alright?" You hear a smooth voice ask. Taken out of your daydream, you look up at Woods who looks quite concerned. "Yeah, I'm good" you respond trying to calm yourself down from the dilemma in your mind. "Okay well I'm gonna go get some Chipotle if you wanna join" He offers. You accept. You're walking next to Woods when you feel his arm sling around your shoulder. You give a small smile to yourself as you both walk to his car. You manage to contain your blush.
