Anika's POV
I got up and woke up to the sound of my alarm, it was 7:00 am and today just felt like it was going to be a strange day. I ate breakfast and wondered why something was missing... he hasn't texted back. I have been dating my boyfriend Sean for the past 4 years and we have been inseparable since, but it was this month he has been feeling quite distance from me. I don't know if I should be worried about it or just brush it off.. but recently he has been feeling very awkward towards me.

As I put on my shoes and headed out the door I got a text from Sean. "Do you think we can talk at a cafe." My heart was pounding as i was looking down on my phone. "Okay" i replied very anxiously. i was on my way to the cafe and very nervous to see why Sean wanted to talk to me. As i found a parking spot I see Sean at the window looking at me but he looked sad and nervous, I walked up to him, sat down and said... "hi".
He replied with a hi back. My heart was beating fast and I couldn't concentrate by the look on his face that he looked very sad. "There has been things that has been going through my mind recently, and i just wanted to let it out to you if that's okay ?" "Sure" I replied back. "This month has been very difficult for me, I haven't been in the right mind set of things and i came here to tell you that maybe we should give each other some space." I stood still looking at him and thinking of what I could do to fix this.. "is it something I did to make you feel this way ?" We both looked at each other not knowing what to say to one another. "You didn't do anything wrong, this is just for the best."

"I hope to see you soon Anika, I'm sorry it had to end this way.. please just understand that I will always be here for you" As he pushed the chair and walked away, it was like the whole world was falling apart and someone just ripped a piece of my heart and just threw it away. I was confused on to why he did this, was it something I did wrong ? I still need answers.. all he did was just say what he needed to say and just left me there.
