Mega Man SF: HD Takeover

Chapter 2

"B-Bud…?" Mega Man stuttered as the big red ox had his two friends, Zack Temple and Jack, in his hands, crushing them with his strength. "Bud! What's gotten into you?! Bud!!"

"G-Geo…" Zack groaned in pain, trying to break free. But the child was so scrawny that he wasn't a match for Taurus Fire's strength.

"B-Be careful…" Jack muttered as he tried to free himself, being more battle-oriented than Zack. But it was the same situation for him. "This guy…he's…not himself…aaa…AAAAAAGH!!!"

"Jack!" Mega Man called out to his friend and readied his buster. "Leave my friends alone!!" With three shots, Mega Man knocked Taurus Fire's left hand open, dropping an unconscious Jack. Luna ran to the boy's side and dragged him away from the raging bull. Mega Man then proceeded for the right hand, but at that point, Taurus Fire had thrown Zack toward Hope and Kelvin, the latter catching him. "Zack!"

As Mega Man was about to run to his family, Taurus Fire let out a loud moo, and flames began to shoot out from his body. The people outside were screaming, and things began to catch on fire! He started to thrash through the seats, tossing things into the air with his horns, and punching at the walls for no reason, like a mad bull. Then he headed for the theater's entrance, towards the lobby. "Darn it…" Mega Man growled and headed to his friends and family. "Are you guys okay?"

"Bud!" Luna exclaimed as she held the unconscious Jack in her arms. "Bud…that bonehead's gone mad! He…he…he's not himself! Look what he did to Jack!

"Jack will be fine!" Kelvin exclaimed, holding Zack under his arm. "We gotta get out of here before this place falls apart with us in it!"

"I'll keep Bud busy! I gotta find out what happened to him!" With their trust placed onto Mega Man's shoulders, the blue wave warrior led them out of the theater and toward the mall lobby. Now Taurus Fire was attacking two young teens! "Bud!!" A card then generated from waves into his right. "SyncHook1!" He then slid the card through the Omega-Xis-shaped Hunter-VG on his left arm, and the arm turned into a huge boxing glove. As Taurus Fire raised his clasped fists to crush the two teenage girls, letting out his signature moo, Mega Man warped in front of him. "Get a hold of yourself!!" he exclaimed and launched his SyncHook1's punch toward the bull's face, sending him toward the concession stands. He then turned to the two girls. "You two, get out of here, now!"

"Oh wow, it's Mega Man!" exclaimed one of the girls in a dreamy sigh. "Thank you for saving us!" As they made their escape, Mega Man turned to Taurus Fire once again, the SyncHook1 fist disappearing. The EM Wave Being was unfazed and slowly getting back up. "Oooox…." it muttered, "TACKLE!!!" In a burst of flames, he launched himself toward Mega Man, slamming him with his head and locked with his horns.

"Oof!" Mega Man grunted as Taurus Fire crushed him against the wall on the other side of the mall. "H-He's as strong as ever…" Mega Man groaned and tried to push Taurus Fire off of him, kicking him away.

"This is strange…" Omega-Xis commented, looking at Taurus Fire from the Hunter-VG. "Oy, kid! Let me out for a bit!"

"But you may get hurt!"

"Don't argue with me, just do it!" Now Mega seemed a bit annoyed by Geo's reluctance.

Mega Man knew that he couldn't argue with his AM-ian partner and held up his left arm in front of him. "Wizard On!" At those words, the beastly Omega-Xis appeared in front of his human partner, glaring at Taurus Fire. "Be careful, Mega…"

"Aren't I always?" Mega grinned and turned back toward Taurus Fire. "Yo! T-Bone! You in there?!" A bead of sweat fell from Mega Man's head at the name "T-Bone." Was that supposed to be Mega's nickname for the FM-ian Taurus? "You're not one to rampage like this unless y'got a special reason. I know you're not THAT dumb." Now Taurus Fire's attention was turned to Mega. It mooed loudly and angrily, releasing his flames once more. "Geo, I don't sense that fiery spirit from Taurus anymore. There's no life in that guy as he is now!"
