Chapter 12

Days passed.

Maybe even weeks and Baekhyun couldn't do anything but watch Chanyeol come and go picking up Sora.

Taeyeon never realized that Baekhyun would always be glancing at a particular giant whenever they sat together at lunch.

And for Baekhyun, life was miserable.

Chanyeol felt like he was missing a part of him but he shrugged off the feeling.

This was his own way of self defence.

Sora noticed that Chanyeol's eyes were dead but she would never admit it to herself.

Sora's POV

Hurting my brother was never an option.

Neither was lying to myself.

I put down my fork and Chanyeol who had noticed, looked up from his plate.

His face made my heart throb but I ignored the feeling.

"Do you love me?" I asked.

He nodded.

"Say you love me,"

He hesitated and opened his mouth.

"Shut up, I don't want to hear it," I said as I stood up.

"Go after my brother, I know you love him. We were never meant to be, so please chase after him." I spoke.

Chanyeol just quietly placed his fork down, eyes unwavering.

He placed an amount of cash on the table and left.

I sat back down looking grimly at what I did.

Fate wasn't supposed to be messed with.

I breathed out a shaky breath swallowing back my tears.

Baekhyun's POV

This wasn't working.

Every time Taeyeon laughed, I would compare it to Chanyeol's.

Every time she flipped her hair, I would picture brown curly hair.

When she touched me I would close my eyes and imagine it was my giant.

He wasn't coming back to me and knowing that made me feel like shit.

No other word to explain my miserable state of being.

His loud laugh, his deep voice, his stupid grin and his eyes.

I groaned in frustration.

My door opened and there stood my sister.

"Baekhyun, we need to talk," she began.

"Is this about how in love Chanyeol is with you?" I laughed bitterly and instantly regretted it.

"No," her voice was calm. "It's about how much of an idiot you are, and because you're an idiot, YOU LET GO OF YOUR ONE CHANCE AT HAPPINESS!" She shouted and I got up.

"No Sora, I didn't let him go, I had to. You are the person I care about the most, my last family member. There was no way I would have fought you for Chanyeol."

"Can't you see, that he only loves you?!"

"I can't, because he threw away his feelings for me,"

"But you didn't throw away yours,"

I stopped replying and looked down.

"Go chase after him," she walked up to me and hugged me.

She was now shorter than I was and I wrapped my arms around her and whispered, "I love you,"
