BEATING THE FUTURE
A lot of members here on WattPad (and a lot of social media sites) are teenagers or young adults, who in probably less than ten years (maybe sooner, maybe later) will be joining the work force. It takes a simple search of 'the working world of the future' to understand just how different the working world will be five, ten, twenty years from now from the world we know and have always known.
It is no mystery that modern technology, especially the internet and the phenomenon that is social media, have caused a revolution of unprecedented effects. This will be clearly reflected in the culture and the workforce of the future.
After doing thorough research of what to expect, I've discovered a lot of fascinating information. For example, I've learned that the work force of the future will be a much more creative one, repetitive jobs will be taken over by machines (most likely), which isn't necessarily negative seeing as the jobs left for us are the ones that require thinking, creativity and innovation. There will be jobs in the future that we cannot even imagine (for example: a rewilder, and even a garbage designer). Jobs will be given to those that stand out and are masters in one specific area but also hold a variety of skills. The working environment itself is already changing fervently. We will see a much more flexible work environment, with a need for strong communication skills. Employees will need to work together like never before. Repeatedly, through my research, I have read that communication and connections will be vital for a successful career.
And, that, is exactly the goal of this group. I am a strong believer that we all have something to learn from each other and that connections are absolutely vital in life. So, I've created this. This page is made for people willing to share their knowledge and willing to learn from others, people hoping to make connections for later on.
Here, everyone interested can help each other be prepared to reach their dreams and work together to make them come true. We share information, things we've learned, tips and anything that could help another. This is also to increase the awareness of the changes that are coming so people can be far more aware and take it upon them to prepare themselves.
It is a mistaken idea that this is the lost generation, that our future is doomed. Becuase, that, is up to us.

If you'd like to be an active member, just message this account with your e-mail and we will e-mail you as soon as possible with more information. From there, you can speak to us about your ideas for the future (what you'd like to do or know about and what your basic plans are) and we will find the best way to give you advice on how to make those things happen through contacts and through our sources of information. You can begin speaking to other people who can help you through our accounts on other social media sites. This is all about collaboration and working together to help each other for the future.
It's simple, perhaps I learn that there is someone interested in studying economics in Europe and I have a friend who did, I would talk with my friend to try and get the two in contact and I would also do some research to help the member.
If you are interested in doing more to help the organization, simply let us know through contacting here or on our e-mail: beatingthefuture@gmail.com . You can help using any skills you have. For example, if you are very good with photoshop, you could offer to help us with a logo. If you're extremely good at organizing and have some ideas on how to better the organization, just let us know and we can work together. If you'd like to take a more administrative role in the organization, same goes.
There is a lot you can do to help and a lot you can get from this organization to improve your future. It will be extremely helpful.
