(This is mostly a Superhero thing but it could work depending on your ship)

*Person A, B, and C are in a battle with an opposing side

Person B is trying to fight off someone when they hear a gunshot.

Person A is a few yards away clenching their stomach as they gradually buckle lower.

Person B to C: C I need backup! 

B then shoves their opponent away and rushes toward A.

A: Is it bad?

B: N-no...

A: B...

B (through tears): It's going to be okay A. This will all be over soon...

A: I love you B

B: I love you too A... more than anything...

A soon dies from blood loss and B blames themselves.
