The Top 20 couldn't believe that in lesss than a month already, they would be battling it all out for the final 9. From 100 Trainees from different companies, to the Top 20 and until the final 9, with the debut name Nine Percent.
The final lineup of each collaboration stage had been set except for the Special Stage that would be handled by Orion.
Today was the day, where the evaluation of the Top 20 would occur to choose who are the 9 trainees who will perform the Special Stage.
The mentors and Orion were already set in their long table and profiles of the trainees. The evaluation would be held in one of their biggest pracrice rooms in the building.
All of the trainees were either practicing their performance for the Special Stage. The two weeks given to them were hectic, having two songs to practice, both equally important.
They were all performing with their own groups, having their equally distributed lines, each to their main position; rap, dance or vocal.
The song was called Tempo. (I do not own the song, credits go back to EXO and SMTOWN, TEMPO- Chinese Version. Stream the music video, its amazing, DID U SEE KAI WITH HIS CROP TOP???? HOT DAMN HE LOOKED SO GOOOOoOoooOD WITH IT.)
According to the twin duo, they both have produced, wrote and choreographed the song together and were hoping that the chosen trainees could give it the attention that it deserves.
When all the trainees were gathered in one practice room, they were confused on why they were there but it turned out to be the viewing of the song and choreography video.
Luna and Orion were the ones singing to it and the choreography video was led by the two with some other back up dancers.
Luna was wearing some black high waisted skinny jeans, with a tight crop top that showed some skin and her model figure, and some heeled boots. Orion was wearing the same thing, only the crop top was loose and a pullover, some suspenders, skinny jeans and boots.
They trainees watched it, amazed and worried at the same time. It was a debut worthy song, impressive vocals, intense rap, and the dance was complicated.
It was a performance worth to the national producers, if they were chosen for this stage it would immensely help their votes on the finals.
"Are you ready?" Ruibin, the one who barely made it to the Top 20, asked Mubo.
There were make up artists running around frantically to prep the trainees who were bouncing on the soles of their feet with nervousness.
Mubo was already finished with his make up, silently waiting for them to be called. "I don't know but I'll do my best. Have you seen the comments? They said that the 9 trainees who will be performing this Special Stage will land a place on the final 9. Pressure. What if I won't be chosen? Then it would be a tremendous loss on my part." He rambled on.
Wang Ziyi popped out in front of them. "Seriously? Isn't that too harsh?" He asked, suprised about what he said.
Most of the trainees were too busy to even look at their social medias because of practicing too hard. It was a long moment of desperation. The desperation to debut. The desperation to be idols.
Ruibin nodded sadly. "It's true that they're saying that in the comments, I looked at them yesterday and it already makes me think that I won't be able to debut."
Ziyi frowned. "Hey, don't say that. We all deserve to debut but we accepted this oppurtunity. All we need to do is try and grab it. Jiayao Ruibin!"
Ruibin smiled at him, thankful for his kind words. He was right after all, this industry only chooses what the people wants.
"5 minutes until we start everyone!"
