*Four Years Ago* This is how I met him.
My P.O.V
Well, as we all know, I just started middle school, the big number 6.. 6th grade.. "yaaaaaaay"! The first few days, very nerve-wrecking , of course I only knew a hand full of people from elementary. I was very outgoing back in the day so.. I'm sure I can make new friends, right..? Well, there's one person in particular.. just seemed like something out of a Disney movie. I felt a spark.
I walked alone most of the time, everyone already had a rank or group of friends that sort of represented them. I was one of those kids that got along with the different groups but never fit in a particular one myself. There are also the gamers, the populars, the athletics, the smarties, the band/music-geeks, the LGBTQ+ members, the gothics, and then there's me. Sure, I can fit in.. but I'd rather not.
It's time for lunch, and as usual, I wear my hood and walk to the tables with my head down. What happened to my confidence? My self esteem?? Well, peer pressure to be the best you can be.. to be pretty, outgoing.. I'm not comfortable with that.. yet. I met up with a group of people my older cousin introduced me to. There was Alivia, Ella, Emma, Ofelia, and Sophia. We all got along very well, and hung out for lunch every other day.
"Hey, you should chase that boy over there." Sophia said with a bold evil smile smeared across her face.
"WHAT THE HELL, NO! Why would I chase a complete stranger? A guy to be exact???" I yelled as I attempted to try and sneak away, but what she said next caught my attention.
"Cause why not? I mean, you can end up being friends! He seems out of the ordinary, right? Like you!"
"Ok ok, he does seem distinct.. hmm." I murmur under my breath as I go back towards the group.
And me, suddenly being energetic, ran up to him, chased him around the lunch area, but tripped and fell forward.. super embarrassing!!
"Hey, are you good?" The tall handsome stranger.
The way he speaks, so soft and comforting. His eyes twinkle like a trillion stars. My heart skips a few beats and leaps out my chest as I try to stop admiring and answer his question.
"Y-Yeah, thanks."
*Lunch Bell Rings*
I start to walk to Mr. Baptista's class, and I notice that the small grey cloud that usually looms over me is fading. I never really took care of that cloud until later in middle school, but that day was a special day for me. I walk up the stairs with a smile on my face, hoping to get to see him again.
*WARNING, HUGE TIME SKIP*
