                       " Chapter 13 "

" Can we go now? " Grace says tugging on my pants. Today is her first day of preschool and I am more then nervous. What will the other kids think of her? So many questions floating around in my head. I hope she won't cry; I already know I will.

" Yes, let's go. " I say taking her backpack and lunch box to the car. Four years old and her first year in school. I buckle Grace into her car seat and pull my old cannula into the front seat.

" Do you have or lunch? " I ask get. I watch her as she fumbles with the zipper of her backpack. She opens it halfway before looking up with her eyes wide open. " Mom! I don't have it! " She runs opens the door to the car and runs inside. I nervously let out a laugh and wait for her to reappear with her lunch.
