Chapter 3

When I woke up, I had almost forgotten what had happened the night before. I was in a comfortable bed and I wasn't really weak like I'd had a lot of blood loss and desperately needed to feed. Something wasn't right. There were people in my bed. I could feel a bare, naked, hard chest in front of me and in back of me. I bolted out the bed and nearly passed out. I was weak, but not as weak as I should have been taking that many bullets.

There were three men in bed with me and there was no way in hell the military would have sent three and they would have known sleeping close to me would help me recover a little. Something wasn't right. I listened for heartbeats. One too fast, one way too slow, and one slower than a human, but not as slow as a vampire.

"Want to tell me why a Lycan, a vampire, and a warlock are in bed with me?" I demanded, steadying myself on the dresser. I hoped they would explain and leave. I needed to feed.

The Lycan had to be seven feet tall with a broad muscular chest. He had chestnut hair that brushed his shoulders and intense green eyes. He was sporting a five o'clock shadow and he was the one who spoke. "Love, you need to feed. You can bite any of us."

Great. This huge sexy man was Irish. He was even more gorgeous than the Lycan that ran me out of Ireland and made me swear off Irish men. I'll bet his blood was delicious and there was no way in hell I was going there with him.

The vampire had olive skin, black hair, and ice blue eyes. He wasn't as big as the Lycan, but he was still a huge warrior. He gave me this cheeky wink. "I've been told my blood is delicious or you could do it the other way."

Great. A Bulgarian vampire. I'd sworn off Bulgarian vampires too and there were all these rumors about the Bulgarian vampire clans being fierce warriors and passionate lovers. That wasn't the case in my situation. My vampire boyfriend ended up being an entitled shit. I don't care how good his blood tasted, I wasn't biting him and I certainly wasn't having sex with him.

The last man looked like he had to be Egyptian and from the Infinity Coven. He wasn't someone I'd met before and I had no idea why. I'd spent a lot of time in Egypt before getting my heart broken and I would have noticed a warlock warrior that sexy.

"Aria, you need to feed and we're here. You took ten bullets before we got to you. Luckily, we got there before those men could rape you. You were bleeding everywhere."

I stumbled to a chair across the room. I wasn't feeding off any of them. I needed to find out why they were here and how they had found out about my mission. I'd thank them for getting me out of there and sleeping next to me to heal me, then I'd just call for a human to heal me.

"Why are you here now and why were you at Igorek's house?"

"I should explain," the warlock said. "My name is Rainer. I'm heir to the Infinity Coven. The Lycan is Ronric, heir to the Hollow Fire pack. The vampire is Kalon, heir to the Onyx clan. Perhaps you've heard of us by our codenames? You would know me as The Black Shade, Ronric as the Iron Beast, and Kalon as the Crimson Streak."

Of course, I'd heard of them. The Black Shade, The Iron Beast, and the Crimson streak had just as many legends behind them as I did as The Sapphire Scythe. They all were legendary for going undercover and stopping several human wars. I didn't know their real identities like most people didn't know mine.

"I've heard of you. That doesn't explain why I woke up with you in my bed."

Rainer took over again. "Two reasons. We are also trying to bring down Zimin and your parents sent us. We—"
