Hello nurse

Marty and George arrived at St. Vincents
They walked to reception

"How can i help you?" The secretary asked

"We need to see Nurse Lee" Matty said

The secretary typed into the computer
"She's on lunch, down the hall to the left is the cafeteria" she smiled pointing . The boys walked off

Matty scanned the cafeteria not 100% remembering what Daisy looked like . George nudged him. The quickly sat at her table. She jumped slightly when she looked up

"Hello" she said shyly looking back down

"Wait, look up again" Matty asked

Daisy shook her head so Matty tilted her face to meet his

"Howd this happen?" Matty asked taking note of Daisys ever present black eye

"Rowdy patient" Daisy lied
"You really shouldn't have" Daisy started before a booming voice was heard

"Daisy!" The voice yelled storming over.  She sunk into her chair

"Who are you" George asked

"Dr. Hemphill" the man replied

"William, these two patients were just thanking me before they were headed home" lie number two.

Matty thought to himself, then thought back to the note.  This was the boyfriend  Daisy mention.

"Well, they can leave you don't need anymore distractions, last night was enough " he said grabbing daisys arm.

Matty was angry..

Daisy mouthed an 'I'm sorry ' as she was pulled down the hall.

*Mattys pov*
There was no doubt in my mind that William had adorned Daisys face with that shiner and that was not okay.

"We should go mate" George said
I reluctantly left.  This girl had saved my life, and why? Because she was genuinely a nice girl and she was with a shit person.

"You good Matty?" George asked when we got back to the car

"Yeah, just in a bit of pain" I lied.

We got home and prepared for our gig, maybe singing would get my mind off of Daisy, she's got a boyfriend anyways after all..

*daisys pov*
"Were they the reason you were gone all night?" William asked
"No, I told you I pulled overtime so I could get tonight off for the concert" I said and that answer seemed to satisfy him.

*later that night*
As I got ready for the concert William hit me 4 times because he checked the schedule and knew I was lying.  After covering my bruises we left.

The band started to play as William disappeared, no doubt finding drugs to do or someone else to have sex with. I looked up at the band and was met with familiar faces.

"Were gonna slow it down a bit, this next song, well its dedicated to a wildflower" Matty announced smiling down at me

William returned just as Be My Mistake started.
He smelled of cheap liquor and someone else

I really should break up with him

"Don't wait outside my hotel room, just wait till I give you a sign" Matty sang as we made eye contact.

"And be my mistake" he finished the song and I wanted nothing more than to stay in the moment of happiness instead of going home with William.

But we arrived home shortly there after and he forced me to sleep with him.  Once he passed out I texted Matty.

feel like shit and I wanna die

This wasnt a lie, death would probably be my only escape from William

Want me to come pick you up

Probably best not too, :/ he's off tomorrow stop by the hospital? Lunch 12pm

I shut my phone off and tried to sleep. Wondering if I would sleep better next to Matty vs the monster I called my boyfriend.
