We stand in silence for awhile. He walks up to the bench and sits down. I look down at me and he looks down at the bench. I sit down and look back at him than the ground.
"Listen Jessica." He pauses while I look up at him hiding the shock. He knows dosen't he. "I'm sorry if you dont feel like part of the group. They are very tight and it took me a while to feel like I was part of the group. And that's just how it works here." He says and I nod. "We should get home." He says and I nod again. "Goodnight Jess." He says standing up.
"Goodnight Zay." I respond than we go our separate ways.
I head home to find my foster parents arguing. I try to sneak upstairs but the mom calls me back down. The silence in the room brings back many painful memories and I already know how this conversation ends. Words are gonna be thrown around "You just aren't the right fit." Or "We are gonna get someone younger." I nod as I hear them out and at the end of it I go upstairs to pack my bag. All I know is I'm heading to a new foster family tomorrow morning.
