POV: Chat Noir

I sat on the top of Notre Dom, my feet dangling off the edge as I looked over Paris. It had been a week since I last saw Ladybug. My Ladybug. Not her replacement. Reina Rouge took Ladybugs place while the actual Ladybug is on break.
'I can't believe ma'lady would leave..she made a commitment to Paris that she would protect it, not leave it in someone else's hands..'I felt sour. Sour that everything seems fine. It's not that Reina is doing a bad job, it's that the person I love..loved; didn't even tell me. Let me hear it.
'Is she finally sick of me? Am I the reason why she left? I know that she isn't the most fond of my puns, but would she actually leave because of me?'

I realized that I didn't even know her. How could I love someone that I don't know? 'How can I say this..it's not like I could ever hate her..' I sit back and run my hand through my hair. Her leaving has taken a toll on me. It's been harder to sleep, I've been reluctant about eating. Even my friends are getting sick of my salty ways.
'Maybe I should apologize to my friends..especially Marinette. She's been the most caring and concerned person I've had in a while..I've only seen her once since she got hurt, what kind of friend am I..'  I stood up and lept off the building, heading towards the Dupain-Cheng bakery. I climbed up and looked in through the window. Marinette sat at her desk, her casted leg sitting to the side of the chair and out of the way.

'Maybe..she wants company..'
I went over to the trap door and knock on it twice. I heard her shuffle and heard her climb up the ladder.
"Chat? What are you doing here?" She asked, confused to see a guy hovering over her room.

"Uh..I-I wanted to see if you wanted a companion, prisncess!" I smile.
She chuckled and moved, letting me in.
She went back down the ladder and sat back down at her desk.
"My mom left me some croissants if you'd like any." She pointed over to her dresser.

'A few wouldn't hurt..'
I go over and take one.
"Thanks purincess, you spoil me." I take a bite from the pastry and walk over to her.
"What are you working on?" I asked, looking down at a red thingie that was spread across her desk. She lifted it up and showed it to me.
"It's my prom dress." She smiled. "Hopefully I'll be able to wear it, considering that my leg and arm will hopefully be out of these casts." She looked down at her white casts that looked quite depressing.

"Hm...well, can I try something to make you feel better?" I asked goofily.
"Sure thing" She smiled.

I took a green and black sharpie and went on the side of her left arm. I doodled a little and took a step back.
"Feel better, ma petite purrincess
~your chatton"

"Hahaha, silly kitten." She chuckled, looking down and rubbing her thumb over the little paw print I drew next to it.
"Don't mention it purincess, 'twas my pleasure." I winked.

We had some fun, including me making her laugh by saying stupid puns and jokes. After a while, I think Plagg was getting bored of being transformed. My ring was suddenly at two claws.
"Well, I had lots of fun tonight princess. Can I have a kiss for my travels?" I wiggle my eye brows and she playfully hit my shoulder.
"Bad kitty." She giggled.
We climbed up the latter and I peered my head back into the trap door.
"Would you like some company again tomorrow?" I asked.

She nodded and leaned up, kissing my cheek and leaving me as red as a tomato
"You're welcomed here at any time, kitty" She slowly closed the trap door, knowing that I was flustered.
'How could one girl be so adorable?'
The way my skin crawled under my outfit was something I only felt a few times with Ladybug, and Marinette made me feel this way within a few seconds.
'Maybe I could be the prince to her princess..' I closed my eyes and grinned madly as I thought. My ring was suddenly at one claw and I quickly got up, running back until I landed back in my room and de transformed.

"Seems like lover boy has found a new girl." Plagg chuckled, taking a big and slimy bite out of a piece of camembert.
"Perhaps, and it looks like you still only have your love of cheese." I chuckle back.
"Yup! And cheese could never disappoint! Well, unless if there is no cheese...but that could never be!"
