Chapter 5

POV: Marinette

   It has been three days since Chat Noir visited. I just had come back from getting my leg cast off the night prior, and even though I was a bit wobbly, the doctor said that I had been improving quite well.
I remembered something that master fu told me.

"The power of the Miraculous will always reside within you. And with that, your wounds should heal rather quickly."

   I moved my leg back and fourth.
"It feels so good not to have a leg cast anymore!" I grin. To myself. I keep forgetting that I'm alone.. . ..
It's been a while since I've been with out Tikki, and now I haven't been with her for a week and a half.

    The doctor told me that I could get my arm cast off in four more days, which made me very happy. He already told me that my bones were miraculously heeling. So, my days as Ladybug are close!

"Marinette, you sure you want to go to school today?" Mom asked from the down stairs.
"Yeah mom!" I chuckle.

   I went over to my dresser and put on some pink pants; which was much easier to put on without a leg cast; and a white shirt with a blue over shirt. Once I had all of my stuff, I slipped a few pastries into a box, and left for school.
"And you're Sure that you don't want us to drive you sweetie? You only just got your leg cast off yesterday..." dad nervously looked at me, his arms crossed.
"Yes papa, I'll be alright. It's not too far of a walk."

   I say goodbye and head outside. About ten or so minutes pass and I make it to school. Alya stood inside with Nino. I walked up to them.
"Hello" I smile.
"Yesss!!!! Finally, you're here!" Alya grinned. "Come here, I need to speak to you." She whispered.

   I followed her to an empty closet and we went in. Once it was completely silent, Alya opened her bag.
"Come on out Tikki." Alya chuckled.
Tikki peaked out.
"Hi Tikki!" I smile.
"Marinette!" Tikki flew out of the bag and hugged against me. "How are you doing? What's been happening?" She asked.
"I'm doing a lot better. All I need is a few more days, and I believe that I'll be fine!" I grinned.
"Yay! And Alya has been doing such a good job! But.. I think Chat is a bit upset.." Tikki said softly.

"What do you mean?" I asked.
  Alya ran her hand through her hair.
"I did what you said..told them that I was your replacement because you needed a break...I believe Chat might think it's his fault that you left. he beats himself up about it constantly, but he doesn't ever stop making the puns." She chuckled a bit, but sighed, "I don't know how you do it...it was one thing not mentioning that I am Reina Rouge, but it's another thing pretending to be someone that I'm not. The quicker the real Ladybug can come back, the better." She smiled and put her hand on my shoulder, and I nod.

"Don't worry Alya, things should be back to the way they were soon." I give her a reassuring smile.
  A few minutes pass and we leave the closet, not after I gave Tikki and Alya some of the pastries. My parents thought that I should bring food to apologize for my delay, and it seems to be working. I gave some to all my friends, including my teacher. Class was starting soon until Chloé walked passed me.

"Wow, Marinette, you're so pathetic that you signed your own cast? And what, is it supposed to be by 'Chat Noir'? Like any heroin would sign that dull piece of fabric." Chloé tossed her hair in my face and walked back to Sabrina.
"Wait, you had your cast signed by Chat Noir?!" Alya asked.
" The Chat Noir'?" Nino asked
"How's you get that?!" Kim asked.

  Chloé clicked her tongue, "Yeah, it's clearly a fake, you fools."
"Why would Marinette like about that? You're the one who mentioned it first, Chloé. She didn't even want the attention!" Alya rolled her eyes.
"Guys, it's okay. He just...signed my cast. It's nothing too big." I shrug.
     'Actually...it did mean a lot to me...' I feel my face heat up.

"But anyways, what's up with this 'your Chatton' And 'purincess' thing? ArE yOu tWo DaTiNg?!?!?" Alya shook me, very surprised and a tad bit excited.
"W-What?! No!! I-It's just...we're friends?"

She looked at me in disbelief, "Yeah, Surrree." She rolled her eyes.
The teacher walked in, Adrien walking in behind her.
