I could feel the heavy bass vibrating through my smaller frame, I knew this was a bad idea but my brain had thought Oh I'll be fine it's just supposed to be a small gathering its not gonna be that bad
I'd always been the type of girl that had shied away from putting myself out into the world. But Piper was different she never left me alone she would always drag me with her to parties, but this one time I had come of my own accord under the false intention that this wouldn't be like all the other parties that I had been forced into.
I'm going to kick her ass when I see that little fucking liar she is gonna be in such deep- oh no...
All of a sudden as if by the flick of a light switch the music stopped and all activity ceased even the oblivious drunks in the corner seemed to realize that something important was happening. There he stood at a massive six foot seven inches his eyes dark just barely concealing the fury hidden deep within his form, most couldn't tell but I alway payed attention to everything ,then again when it came to him, everyone payed some form of attention to him. He was notorious for his anger, stories and rumors went around that if you even looked him in the eye he would put you in the hospital. When he had been a freshman he had gotten in so many fights that the school had considered having him expelled, and after that it had only gotten worse. He was in my history class every year Piper used to joke with me about how he did it on purpose. He would pick a target every year and whatever poor soul it was that year was in for a miserable year, he made sure to make their lives hell it seemed as if he had picked me as his target this year.
"You know if he catches you staring at him like that he might get even more pissed than he already is" Hearing Piper's voice beside me I jumped out of my trance with a slight squeak.
"The hell Piper you scared me," whispering I leaned closer to her,' "and for your information I wasn't staring at him I was just observing him?" What had meant to be a definite statement turned into the makings of a question, he was different with me. It might have just been a fantasy but he seemed kinder to me, that is only when nobody was paying attention. Until now, I let my gaze drift back to him as Piper went to get some food for us. It was only then did I feel the familiar burning of holes into my form. He was staring at me as he held someone by their shirt whispering to them something he all but threw them and began his way over to me, parting the crowd like the Red Sea until he was standing in front of me.
" See anything you like princess" He stood there looming over me his face a blank slate.
" I-I'm sorry I didn't mean to... I umm didn't realize..." I knew that he could see me shaking in fear, I had always hated confrontation and he was the king of it.
" Your're lucky I'm in a good mood otherwise you would have some problems," my eyes widen at the statement as I realized what he said, "but since I'm feeling so kind, we can just call this a warning"
With that he pulled away and strode off leaving me in a trance, his cologne still lingering until I realized. He had put his jacket ,the one nobody ever saw him without, over my shoulders to cover the short tight dress Piper had shoved me into.
"What just happened.."
"Holy crap Hay was that who I think it was that was just talking to you?!" Piper's Irish accent decided to come out in her state of disbelief.
"Yeah, and I think that i might have just fucked up really bad..."
