A/N: Sorry for the SUPER long wait D: My brother just got married and I just moved in with Kain, my bf. I've been super duper busy lately that I could hardly answer e-mails.

The only reason I can update today is because I was granted vacation time from work. I know this is hardly a good excuse but it's the reason why I've been gone so long. And, if you know my bro, it's the reason he's been gone as well.

*NOTE: Also, for a better apology, I edited and changed the other chapters. So, you might want to go back and read them.

ALSO, if you see the writing slip in and out of third person to first person, it's because I've been practicing that more lately.

Chapter 10: Interviews, Magazine Headlines, and Other Disasters.

*SaraBeth's POV*

"SaraBeth,"Ricky said hissing sharply at me,"It's 3 AM! What the hell happened to you? You only left a voicemail, which might I add, doesn't help any because you didn't explain what the hell was going on."

"Weeeeellll,"I dragged out as I sleepily sat on the gloriously soft bed in the hotel room Ricky and Eric were staying in,"I got caught in the rain... and then... and then,"I mumbled as I lost track of what I was saying.

"Are you drunk?"Ricky asked, dismay clear on his face. I shook my head profusely as that.

"Eli wouldn't want that,"I murmured. Ricky's face darkened.

"Who reminded you of that?"

"M-Mr. Blue Eyes..."

"Who?"Ricky asked confused.

Tired, I slumped back on the bed and began to claw at my clothes,"I'm really hot. It's hot. Hot, hot, hot,"I said as I gave up on my clothes and moved in a snails pace toward the AC.

Ricky moved toward, his face full of concern,"You said you got caught up in rain?" He placed a cool hand to my forehead and I sighed in relief at the feeling.

"You seem to be burning up. Wait here while I go get Eric...,"Ricky said vaguely as he left the room.

I wasn't feeling better the next day but I shuffled around in the room I shared with Chris and got dressed for the horror that is school. That's when Marni entered with an overtly concerned face.

"Oh, honey, your not going anywhere this morning with that fever."

"B-but school,"I muttered looking hazily up at her. I hate being short. Makes everything look scarier.

"You'll be in bed until 5:30 We managed to rebook the interview you had missed for that time. So,"she checked her watch,"You have about 8 or 9 hours of resting time. So, get on with it."

Marni turned and left abruptly, cueing that the conversation was over. She looked heavily troubled. Not wanting to cause anymore problems, I changed back into my Cookie Monster pj's and went back to sleep.

************

When I awoke next I felt remarkably better, if not a little stuffy. Sitting up in bed I shook my hair out and ran my fingers through the long locks. I've always loved my hair like this. So much so, I was even afraid of scissors.

Rolling my eyes I checked my clock. 4:34 PM. Marni had said 5:30 so I stood up and began to get ready. I was finishing up with a small amount of lipgloss as my manager entered.

"Oh good, your ready. Sorry for not waking you up,"Marni said with that still slightly troubled expression.

"It's fine, I was feeling better, I guess, and woke up myself."
