Sarah's POV

I made my way through the crowded house searching for Kian. Sam and I got separated right away and I couldn't seem to find anyone I knew. I felt extremely awkward and out of place, which was weird because I'm usually the party girl.

"Sarah!" A screech came from somewhere. Seconds later, I was engulfed in a hug.

"Hey girl!" I laughed back once I realized it was Payton. I could tell she had obviously had a few drinks already. I continued scanning the place.

"Looking for Kian?" She smirked at me.

"Psh.. no?" I tried brushing it off. She rolled her eyes at me.

"Oh please. I see the way you guys look at each other. I can't believe you haven't hooked up already." She told me.

"No-... I just-... okay fine maybe I do like him a tiny bit." I gave in. She squealed and jumped for a moment.

"I knew it! That's so cute! Anyways he is out back by the pool." I thanked her and made my way to the back door.

Surprisingly there weren't too many people out there. There were some people swimming, a group sitting around a bonfire, and another group standing by the fence.

Basically all the get drunk party animals were inside, and all the more chilled out people were outside.

I spotted Kian by the fire and walked over. His back was to me but some of the others saw me so I put my finger up to my lips, signaling them to stay quiet.

I suddenly wrapped my arms around him and screamed "Kian!" in his ear. He jumped up as fast as he could and screamed.

"Holy shit!" He exclaimed trying to slow down his heart. "What the hell Sarah!"

The other guys there and I just began laughing. I sat down in the chair Kian was sitting in before. "Oh now you're gonna take my seat too?" He asked.

"Yup." I grinned back widely at him. He came towards me and lifted me up. Soon I was sitting again and I realized I was sitting on his lap.

"Problem solved." He smiled back. I felt myself blush and prayed he didn't notice.

I scanned the faces of everyone around me and they only one I knew was Sam.

"Guys this is Sarah. Sarah these are my friends from youtube Jc, Trevor, Ricky, Connor, and obviously you know Sam." Kian introduced us all.

We all exchanged greetings and made small talk. After a while it felt as though I'd known them forever. They were all super funny and nice.

A few hours went by and we were all a bit tipsy now, but not drunk. I was currently dancing with Trevor, Jc, and Payton. The song ended, and we decided to go out back and take a break.

"We should play truth or dare!" Payton suggested. Oh god no, that game never turns out good. But everyone agreed and I didn't want to sit out like a loser. We all rounded up some people.

"Sarah you go first." Connor said.

"Okay... um Jc, truth or dare?" I asked him.

"Dare." He smirked at me. I smirked right back, I knew he was gonna say that.

"I dare you to jump in the pool with all your clothes on." I told Jc. He ran, jumped in and came back dripping wet.

"Why was it so cold!?" He exclaimed. We were all laughing at him. Suddenly Jc tackled me to the ground, hugging me to get me wet too.

I squealed. "JC! Get off me!" He helped me up and sat next to me.

"Whoops sorry I tripped." He said. I playfully pushed him.

"Yeah sure." I replied.

The game went on and eventually it was Payton's turn. She was grinning evilly at me. Oh god no please.

"Kian, Truth or dare?" She asked. Oh I thought she was gonna pick me.

"Dare." He told her.

"I dare you to kiss Sarah for at least 5 seconds." Oh shit. Come on why did I tell her I like him. The guys began yelling stuff like "ooh get it!" and whatever. I awkwardly looked at Kian and he looked really uncomfortable.

"Uhh... haha... okay now what's the real dare." He said.

"That is the dare." She smirked. Meanwhile I was giving her a death glare.

"You can't.... but uh... no I'm not gonna do it." He tried getting out words. Ouch that hurt. Does he really not like me that much that he can't just kiss me?

It suddenly got really quiet and everyone was looking at me. I could feel tears starting to build up in my eyes. "Um I have to go... sorry." I stated quickly standing up and speed walking to the gate. I hung my head trying to not let anyone see the tears that started to fall.

"Nice job you idiot." I heard Sam say to Kian before I left. There were also people calling my name, but I didn't stop to acknowledge them. I kept walking until I got home. I closed the door and leaned up against it.

Then I started sobbing. I slid down the door until I reached the ground. I just sat there in a ball crying. A few minutes later there was a knock on my door.

I figured it was just Luke, so I opened it up. But it only revealed Kian. I wiped my eyes and noticed how concerned he looked.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I was worried about you. Can I come in?" He said. I nodded, and stepped aside. We sat down on the couch and silence filled the room for a moment.

"Sarah I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings at all. It didn't come out the way I wanted it too. It's just-..." He paused. "I didn't want our first kiss to be from a stupid game of truth or dare."

Those words made my heart jump and I could feel the butterflies in my stomach. I couldn't even explain how happy that made me feel. "That is really sweet Kian." I smiled softly.
