Two weeks later

"Mama! Mommy!" Ava says excitedly as both of her moms appear on video chat, she had just had a bath and was getting ready for bed.

"Hey monkey!" Dinah and Lauren said at the same time. They waved at their youngest daughter.

The four year old grinned excitedly as Normani brushed her hair. "Mani took me shoppin!"

"She did? Were you good for her?" Lauren asked, raising her right brow.

"What'd you get?" Dinah asked.

Nodding her head, the four year old turns to look at Normani. "Can I show them?" She asks, pointing to a small crate.

Normani had gotten her a kitten since Lauren's cat Cupcake had passed away.

"Sure, kid." Normani nodded. It was supposed to be a surprise for them but the young girl was so excited she couldn't stop her from showing them.

Getting up, the four year old leaves the camera view before reappearing with an orangish brown kitten.

"This is Oscar!" She says excitedly.

"You bought her a kitten?" Lauren's eyes widened before a soft smile crossed her lips, her eyes filled with sadness. She missed Cupcake.

Normani stays silent, she hadn't talked to them, not since they left.

"Mani said a'cause you miss Cupcake that I could pick a kitten for you." Ava says, holding the kitten close. "Her name is Oscar, but Mani said it's a boy name and that you should name her."

Lauren forced a smiled. "Oscar is yours. She bought her for you."

"No, her got her for you mommy, ask her!" Ava says excitedly.

"Mani?" Lauren looked at Normani and bit her lip.

Nodding her head, Normani forces a smile. "She's yours."

Lauren forced a smile and let out a breath. "Thanks"

"Mama, mommy, I gotta go to bed now." Ava says disappearing from the camera view once more.

"I'll be back." Lauren said quietly, she got up and made her way into the bathroom.

Normani moves to end the call, she just wanted to go lay down until the other girls got home.

"Mani." Dinah said before Normani could end the call. "You didn't answer my text?"

"I was busy." Normani responds immediately.

"Oh." Dinah bit her lip.

"I have to go, I have to put Ava to bed." The older girl says calmly.

"Oh okay. Goodnight. Tell Ava we love her and we'll see her soon." Dinah said. "I love you Mani."

"Love you too." Normani breathes out before hanging up.

Two hours later.

Normani wakes up to arms wrapping around her waist. "Mila?" She asks tiredly.

Camila kissed Normani's cheek. "Hi." She whispered, lying down on the bed. "Go back to sleep."

Rolling over, Normani curls into Camila and takes a deep breath. "I missed you."

"I missed you too." Camila kissed her head. "I love you."

"I love you too." Normani mumbles, struggling to keep her eyes open.

Camila rubbed Normani's back and they both drifted off to sleep.

When they woke up, Normani's phone was going off with an alarm signaling that she was ovulating.
