You were having a hard time catching your breath once you got into your room. Running your fingers through your hair, you stopped fighting the tears and let them fall onto your cheeks. This.. this right here is why you never let anyone in..either they get taken from you, or they leave, simple as that. You couldn't stay here anymore, you needed to get as far from that man as possible. You needed to clear your head, pull yourself together and you knew exactly where you were going to do that. You shoved your things into your duffel bag, tossed it into the back seat of your car and got inside. You looked at the boys door one last time, then revved the engine to life and sped off away from the motel as fast as you could.

Sam shuddered when he heard the squeal of your tires as you bolted. He ran his fingers through his hair and looked at his brother. He could feel his temper starting to flare. He knew that everything Dean had said was bullshit.

" What is going on with you Dean? You just let her leave... why didn't you just tell her? I know you didn't want her to go, and you can't tell me any different. I see the way you look at her, the way you talk about her all the time.. I know it's not just about sex with her..I just don't get it, I mean..."

Dean shook his head.

" What would you do if that was Jess, Sam? " He cut him off.

Sam just looked at him for a second.

" What? "

" If you found out the one person you loved more than anything was a Demon...would you be able to drive a blade into her chest...no I know you wouldn't be able to. So what makes you think Y/N is any different huh? The man she was supposed to spend the rest of her apple pie life with turns out to be a monster. As strong as she is, I know that would wreck her Sammy. I wasn't going to put her through that, not if there was something I could do about it. " His voice going soft at the last sentence.

Sam ran his fingers through his hair and let out a breath. He knew that his brother's heart was in the right place...even if he didn't agree with the way he was going about it.

" Alright so what's the plan? " He asked.

You drove for hours and when you finally pulled up to a big white house, your heart skipped a beat. It's been years since you were last here, you walked away for a reason.. but you knew this is where you needed to be right now. Grabbing your bag from the back seat, you swallowed the lump that was stuck in your throat as you walked onto the porch. You took in a deep breath before putting the key in the lock, unlocking it, then pushing the door open. The smell instantly brought memories back to you and you closed the door behind you. You dropped your bag at the door and slowly went into the living room. You looked at the papers that were scattered on the coffee table, just where you left them the night you left. Starting to clean them up, something in you let go and you found yourself throwing things across the room as the tears started to flow again. Struggling to catch your breath, you sat on the couch and looked at the destroyed room. You needed to try and sleep, so you slowly made your way up the stairs and stopped at your open bedroom door. Your eyes narrowed in on the carpet that still had red stains on it from that night. You shook your head, then went back down stairs and laid on the couch, pulling your knees to your chest to try and stop all the pain that was radiating through you.

The next couple days, the boys followed useless leads to try and track Ryan down again, but they always came up with nothing. Dean shot back his glass of Whiskey and set it on the table in the war room.

" I think we need to call him. " He said looking at his brother.

Dean didn't need to say anything else for Sam to know who he was talking about.

" Do you really wanna bring him into this? "

" You want to find a demon, you talk to the king of Hell, plain and simple. " Dean said as he dialed Crowley's number and put the phone to his ear.
