Dean's emotions were in a heated mess. Watching his brother close the motel door, he got into the Impala and let out a deep breath.

They needed to talk about what had happened, but not until after they found Y/N. She was his first priority right now.

" I'm gonna check the wife's house and you can check around the sewers by her house. " Dean stated, squealing onto the road.

Sam didn't argue with him. He knew that it was best to have as much space as possible between them right now, because he knew everything was going to blow up, and he wanted to hold that off for as long as possible.

Trying to stay focused on the task of finding Y/N, Dean knocked on the door. After a few second of silence, he tried the door handle and the door slid open. Taking his gun from his pocket, he entered the house slowly. He checked the whole house and came up with nothing. Then it hit him, shifters always hid out in damp, dark spaces. Within a second, Dean bolted for the basement door only to find it locked. With one good kick, the door flew open and he rushed down the creaky stairs.

You heard the door open and the heavy footsteps come down the stairs but you were too weak and exhausted to even lift your head.

When Dean seen you his heart broke. Slipping his gun into the back of his pants, he knelled down in front of you and let out at a breath at the bloody mess you were. Your hair was soaked with blood and stuck to your forehead. Your wrists were bloody and raw, from probably trying to get free. He gently put his hand underneath your chin and moved your face to look at him.

" Y/N, it's alright, I've got you okay. "

Seeing those green eyes, anger and fear came over you.

" Screw you, you sick son of a bitch. " You managed to breath out softly.

Your words took him a little bit by surprise, but he ignored them as he quickly untied the ropes from around your wrists. When he tried to take your hand, you took all the energy you had left to push yourself to your feet and away from him.

" You touch me and I swear to God I will kill you. " You growled.

" Y/N, it's me..Sam took care of the shifter back at the motel. " He said softly, holding his hands up.

Right then you heard the upstairs door close and Sam's voice traveled down the stairs.

" Dean! "

" Basement. " Dean called not taking his eyes off of you.

Looking at Dean, you knew it was him, but you seen the monster that had tortured you not even hours ago and you couldn't help but flinch with tears in your eyes any time he would try to touch you.

Dean's heart felt like it cracked as he seen the way you looked at him and he knew why.

" Y/N. " Sam said calmly walking over to you, looking at what the shifter had done to you.

The moment his hand touched your shoulder, you fell into his arms not able to keep yourself on your feet anymore. In one quick motion, he scooped you up into his arms gently, careful not to hit any open wounds then looked at his brother.

" She won't even let me touch her...the shifter, did this while looking like me I assume. " Dean's words were broken and Sam knew this was killing him.

Pushing the tension between them aside, Sam let out a breath.

" Come on, lets get her to the bunker and clean her up. "

Dean watched him carry you up the stairs and he knew that things weren't going to be the same. He seen the look on your face when you seen Sam. The look you used to have with him, safe. He took in a deep breath and closing his eyes for just a second, he headed upstairs and into the Impala where Sam sat with you in the back seat. You were curled up into a ball on his lap, your eyes closed. Dean's jaw tightened as he felt tears come to his eyes, but shook them away, got into the car and sped off to the bunker.
