18 - Number of Love and Life

Meeting Number - One

Nandini POV:

Abhi!!!! you know right I believe in number 18 that if you are seeing this number more frequently then there is some special change is going to happen in your life. That's exactly what happened with me a year ago on same day. I met him. My Manik. And you know Abhi I have met him 18 times in last one year and all meetings are coincidental.

That time I used to think is this my fate which is bringing me face to face with the same person always or am I destined to meet him in my life. I didn't know what game fate was trying to play with me but I clearly understood one thing that I am destined to meet him. May be my fate will decide the reason I meet him always or else he already decided the reason of our meets. Because it is him and it has always been him even though I don't know that it is going to be him in my life.

First meeting: 18 Feb 2017 18:00 PM:

That day we went to shopping mall for holi shopping, you, me and Navya. While parking our car in #18, I was telling you both that I am seeing number 18 frequently and I was curious to know what special change going to happen to me, but you both chuckled at me stating I am being conformist.

You went to select dresses for yourself leaving both of us. Navya was making me wander here and there irritating me.

Nandini: Navya make it fast, how much time do you need to select between those two dresses? You are taking forever to select between them.

Navya: Wait Nandu I am trying to decide which dress will suit me the best. Can't you help me to select instead of talking with me like that standing there. I shook my head and helped her to select a dress. I was walking with her after paying the bill. When I felt as if someone pulled my dupatta.

I clutched it at my neck with my hand and turned to see who it is. I saw a tall guy who is standing before me talking on phone with his left hand. I looked down at his right hand and found that my dupatta got struck with his watch. Well these dupattas sometimes create a problem.

I said, "I am sorry I didn't see it." He looked at me with a small smile on his face and said, "No problem I too didn't see it." I felt something when I heard his voice it was too sweet. I took my dupatta carefully from his watch without tearing it apart and then said, "Sorry again and hmm excuse me I have to go."

I walked hurriedly without looking at him to meet Navya who was walking forward and just stopped to look at me. I smiled at her and we went away later.

At night while I was on bed I was thinking about his voice, there was something in his voice. But I couldn't get chance to look at his face as he was very tall and to look at his face I need to lift my head which will make it obvious for him. I sighed and slept after that with a small smile tugging at the corners of my mouth.

Manik POV:

I met her year ago, on same day. That was very important day in my life...

There was a call out for new music directors from one of the production company and I have sent my music album to them. That day morning they have called me to discuss about something and had asked me to meet him in his private business area in shopping mall. I was nervous as I have been waiting for one chance to prove myself.

While going to meet him, my friend Cabir called me to wish me luck. While I was talking to him I heard some sweet voice"I am sorry I didn't see it." Then I looked at her what she was referring to as her dupatta clung to my watch and I said, "No problem I too didn't see it." She took her dupatta carefully from my watch and I was observing her, she is so tiny infront me may be reaching only till my chest but she is very cute and then said, "Sorry again and hmm excuse me I have to go." She left without turning back which made disappointed for unknown reasons.

I ignored the thought and went to meet the producer.. There along with producer movie director was also present. After introducing our selves director started telling concept of movie. Initially I was bit confused and to clear my confusion I asked them with hope "wait.. wait.. that means you are giving me chance?" They chuckled a little and said "yes.. we heard your album and we really like it.. even director wanted to keep few tracks in this movie as well..." I was so happy and later we had discussion about story, dates and remuneration everything..

From there immediately I went to meet my group and also my close buddies without whom I might not be here.. Cabir who is drummer in my group, Dhruv is my lead guitarist and he also play violin, Alya is keyboard player in my group and she is dating Dhruv and last but not least Mukti electric guitarist. They are like my family... We celebrated our first success and planned on preparing music... 

At night after meeting my friends I went to my home, to enjoy the day more I took my guitar and started playing some soft music.. While playing it suddenly I remembered the cute girl whom I met in mall which brought smile on my face later on realisation I thought "Manik. what are you thinking.. thinking about a girl whom you just saw once.. remember there is no place for any girl in your life you have to only concentrate on music and prove yourself to world.."
