TWO MOONS BEFORE THE GATHERING
White blanket of snow covering the hills and lines of pine trees welcomed him as Jimin arrived at the mountains.
Jimin had travelled far north of the region numerous times before, hence why he was already so familiar with the cold temperature and the climate that was so different compared to the warmer places he was used to. Particularly since Jimin had mostly either travelled around the towns of human regions or anywhere that was too warm for most vampires to stay around too long.
No matter how superior vampires are, they could never stay in a place that is either too warm or too cold, when they all possess sensitive senses. An ability that would mostly help them to hunt their prey, but at the same time, become a form of weakness. Unless their powers are based on the extreme temperature themselves or if their own blood runs warmer than others, just like how Pure Bloods do. Which, he realised then, was perhaps the main reason why The Lords had chosen this extremely cold place as their new home.
What The Lords were capable of enduring, most of the regular Vampires would not.
After taking a moment of adjusting himself to his surroundings and taking in the beautiful sight of the mountains, Jimin continued to climb up the hills, until he finally reached his destination.
The mansion appeared as a magnificent sight to be seen just as it emerged from the rocky hills Jimin had just climbed onto. Surrounded by a spreading layer of white snow and pine trees, the structure that had been built mostly from logs had made it seem like a regular vacation home for the humans, hiding its sole purpose which was a sanctuary for The Lords of Vampires.
With a light heart and the excitement of being reunited with the family that had raised him, Jimin stepped onto the front porch with his head held high. The massive wooden door at the entrance opened up before he had any chance of knocking, revealing a gorgeous female vampire who was smiling brightly at Jimin. Her long copper hair fell gracefully on her back, making her look much younger and loosened up, compared to her usual appearance back at the castle when she would usually keep her hair raised up into a tight bun. Her ruby eyes were wide with joy as she regarded Jimin, before they started to glow the more she took in the sight of the younger vampire that was smiling sheepishly at her in the doorway.
"Lord Dahlia," Jimin greeted her politely with a slight bow of his head. But he was quickly taken aback when the female vampire reached forward, wrapping her slender arms around Jimin and pulling him tightly into her embrace.
"Jimin," she beamed delightfully as she squeezed Jimin even tighter in her arms. "I have sensed you coming since an hour ago. I missed you so much."
Jimin chuckled as he slowly wrapped his arms around her. "I missed you too, Dahlia. It's really good to see that you are well."
Just as Lord Dahlia seemed incapable of detangling herself from her young guest, another vampire came from behind her, moving gracefully and confidently stalking towards them. Every motion he made emitted his superior power so that Jimin could feel his presence even before he looked up over Lord Dahlia's shoulders.
