Chapter 8

 ~Yuuma~

"Angel, Sora! Are you ok?!"

"Y-Yuu-nii!" They came running.

"Haruto left an hour ago, a-and mom just left."

"I'll put them to sleep. Join me when you're done?" I whispered to Hiro.

He nodded and headed to my room to put down my stuff.

"C'mon girls. It's been a long day. Let's get you to bed."

They fell asleep quite quickly. They must have been exhausted.

I sighed, "What would cause them to just fight like this? They were perfectly fine this morning."

"Dunno, Yuuma. Don't think too hard about it, right now we should be worried about where they went and if the girls are ok."

"You're right. Angel sounded downright hysterical, and Sora was scared to the point where I'm not even sure if her soul is still in her."

"I hope they didn't drive. Driving and emotional instability are not a good mix."

"I'm sure their fine, their cars are still here so they didn't drive. They probably went for a walk."

I sighed again, "I really hope so."

We eventually fell asleep curled up on the couch.

We woke up to shouting.

"WHAT THE HELL?! JUST BECAUSE THEY'RE ADOPTED DOESN"T MEAN THEY'RE NOT PART OF THIS FAMILY!!" Mom screamed.

"You go check on the twins. I'm going to see what's going on." I said giving him a quick kiss.

"Ok. Be careful though. I don't know what they'll do cause they're way too worked up right now." I nodded and then headed to the kitchen.

"Hi mom. Hey Haruto. What are you two doing?"

"Yuuma, dear, I thought you had school today?"

"We took a leave of absence."

"We?"

"Hiroto's with me."

"Ok."

"Now mind explaining why Angel called me last night all hysterical and scared out of her wits?"

"..........It's nothing. Your mom and I just got into a little fight."

"Little? You call screaming, yelling and things crashing a little fight?"

"You scared Angel half to death! And I think you scared Sora's soul out of her body!"

At that, Haruto shot a foul look towards the direction that Angel and Sora were.

"Yuuma, dear! You really shouldn't have come back. You'll miss school."

I smiled. "Don't worry, mom. Koro-sensei is nice. He'll let us off the hook."

"I know, sweetheart, but that's not what I'm worried about."

"So, had enough of dodging the subject? Tell me what you guys are fighting about."

"........Sweetie. It's just............can I talk to him alone? Please?" She directed the last part to Haruto who looked pissed, but left nevertheless.

"...........Haruto doesn't like your sisters. He says we should kick them out since they have their own house, but I don't want to because I just got them back after they isolated themselves for their primary years."
