Faking sick

Peter hated lying. Especially to the avengers, but he had to fake sick today. Flash said to meet him in front of the school after the last bell, and if he showed up bloody and bruised the avengers would find out about Flash, and everyone can guess why that's a bad idea. He knew that FRIDAY could tell the team he wasn't sick, so he had to hack into her and reprogram her to say he's sick, which he felt horrible about. However, if it was to save a life, which was Flash's in this case, he'd do it. Luckily, if he stayed home today Flash would forget about it tomorrow. Another lucky chance, Natasha and Bucky weren't there! So they couldn't say he was lying, Clint was there though, but he wasn't the best at telling lies.
This was how he found himself lying in bed, a heating pad under him, and him using his 'sick face' face.
"Peter, come on, time for- hey what's wrong?" Tony asked as he opened his door.
"Mmm I'm not feeling so good." Peter answered in his 'sick voice' voice. Tony put his hand on his forehead for a minute and pulled back.
"Friday?" Tony asked, looking up.
"Peter is having a stomach bug, he should be better by tomorrow, though I'd recommend not letting him leave. He could get worse if he doesn't relax and eat the right food. Anything could set off a worse sickness." FRIDAY and informed. Tony then looked at Peter in concern.
"Welp, kid, looks like you're staying home today. Friday will send a message to the school telling them your sick. Just stay in bed and someone will bring you food. Feel better soon, kid." Tony said as he walked out. Peter nodded before Tony closed the door. He sighed in relief when he heard Tony was too far away to hear him and went back to sleep, keeping the heating pad. Just in case.
Peter woke up four hours later, then played on his phone for an hour, getting a few texts from Ned and MJ. Someone knocked on his door, and he wheezed out a "come in" to stay in character.  Clint came in with tomato soup, put it next to him, then quickly walked out, mutter something about not wanting to get sick.
Five hours later, the worst thing happened, Natasha came in, Bucky in tow.
"Hey, kid, heard you were sick." Natasha said in a tone that said 'tell the truth now or else'.
"So, you going to tell us why you're faking sick?" Bucky asked. He didn't sound accusing or mad, in fact, Natasha didn't look mad either, they just look confused and curious. Well, considering he hating skipping school he could understand why.
"I have my own reasons." Peter answered, not even bothering to try to lie.
"Please don't tell anyone, I needed to stay home just this one day, and it was for a good reason!" Peter pleaded and the two spies exchanged a look.
"Only because it was this one time, and it's the first time you're acting like a normal kid, we'll let it go this once. But tomorrow, you're going." Natasha said and Peter sighed in relief.
"Alright, we'll be in our rooms if you need us. You're still supposed to be 'sick'." Bucky said before he and Natasha left. Peter sighed I n relief again.
Tony came in an hour later.
"Hey, kid, how're you doing?" He asked.
"A lot better. I think I'll be fine by tomorrow." Peter lied. Tony nodded.
"Good, I'll be back in an hour with dinner." Tony stated before walking out. Peter took the heating pad off and unprogramed FRIDAY. Though, they seriously needed to make her harder to hack. One hour later, Tony brought food in and asked FRIDAY if Peter was ok.
"He now has no fever and will be able to go to school tomorrow." FRIDAY stated.
Peter woke up feeling like a house fell on him, and he knows what that feels like.
"Peter, you have a fever of 101%, I would suggest staying home again." FRIDAY spoke up.
"No, *cough* Friday, I can't. I missed school yesterday, and Natasha and Bucky would think I'm lying and they'd tell everyone I faked yesterday. Please don't say anything." Peter pleaded. FRIDAY was silent for a minute before deciding,
"If you still feel this way tomorrow I will have to inform Mr. Stark that you're sick." Peter sighed, once again, in relief. However, he should have never underestimated Parker luck.
The next morning, Peter felt ten times worse. He actually had to hack FRIDAY to make sure she didn't tell anyone. He also had to sneak away from Natasha and Bucky in order to go to school. Once he got there, however, he regreted it. Apparently, Ned was sick and Flash wouldn't leave him alone. At lunch, Peter was sitting across from MJ.
"You're sick." IT wasn't a question, it was a statement.
"I couldn't tell them. They wouldn't have believed me and then I'd have to tell them I faked sick yesterday. And THEN I'd have to tell them why and Flash would be a pancake right now." Peter explained, with a few coughs in between.
"You say that as if it's a bad thing." MJ commented, but was actually surprised as seeing Peter's glare. Being sick was really getting to him. He started to feel light headed when Flash walked over.
"Well well well, Parker, you're actually starting to look like a tomato. What? You not feeling good?" Flash mocked before throwing Peter's tray on the ground.
"Leave him alone, Eugene." MJ growled.
"Awww, you getting your girlfriend to fight for you now? Wow, you really are pathetic!" Flash laughed. But Peter couldn't hear him. It was as if he was underwater, sinking into the black abyss. Wait, no, he wasn't underwater. Or was he? Peter heard a voice. Was that, MJ? He didn't realize he closed his eyes until he opened them in a white room with MJ sitting next to him.
"Do NOT do that again, loser." MJ said, looking worried.
"What did I do exactly?" Peter asked, sitting up. He felt a bit better, but still felt hot and icky.
"Peter!" It was only about five voices, but to Peter it felt like twenty. Suddenly, five faces showed in his vision,
"What's wrong with him?!" Tony asked, panicking at the nurse. She didn't really seemed to be fazed.
"He has a fever of 102.5%. I would recommend keeping him from school for a few days." The nurse explained and Tony nodded his thanks.
"Guess you weren't better from yesterday were you?" Clint asked once they were in the car. MJ had somehow convinced them to let her come with so she could help.
"Actually, now that he's really sick, he won't care right now if I tell the truth, right, Peter?" MJ asked the boy. He just groaned in response.
"What do you mean?" Rhodey asked, confused.
"He faked sick yesterday to get out of a fight with Flash. The guys a school bully and, for some reason, really hates Peter." MJ explained. The car was quiet for a minute before,
"Exactly how long has the kid been bullying Peter?" Tony asked, his voice hard.
"Since elementary school." MJ answered, her eyes terrifyingly dangerous.
"Okay, so after we take care of Peter, we'll go pay this bully a visit. Sound Good?" Clint asked and everyone agreed. All day, the avengers never left Peter's side, along with MJ.
"Guuuuys, I'm fine!" Peter groaned, but a spoon full of chicken soup stopped him from saying anything else. He was currently wrapped in a blanket taco and was falling asleep from it. After two minutes, he was asleep.
"Alright! Friday, tell us if he wakes up or gets worse." Tony demanded.
"Yes, sir." FRIDAY replied.
A knock was heard at the Thompson house, and as Flash was the only one home, he opened it to see Earth's mightest heros glaring down at him.
"Hello, Eugene." Natasha spat out.
"We, need to talk." Tony growled at him as Flash felt the color leaving his face.
