Midorima x Reader I
The only friends you had were Midorima and Takao. One day out of each your you and Midorima spent your birthdays on the same day since you were both born on July 7th. You had one large cake instead of having two. The two of you exchanged presents. He gave you a flowered headband with a small art kit since you loved to paint and draw. You bounced in your seat happily as he pushed up his glasses with a small blush on his face.
He started to unwrap his present as his face went blank. Inside the box you had given him was a stuffed pig since that was both of your years animal. You also gave him a small locket that had the word lucky carved into it. He put the chain around the pigs neck and put it back in the box as he nodded thanks.
You got the feeling he didn’t like it so you felt bad for getting such a terrible present. Takao saw the sad look on your face as he slightly frowned then got a match to light the candles. He turned off the lights and began to sing happy birthday.
He nudged your arm and winked which made you blush a bit. It caused you to smile a bit and start to sing along with him quietly. Once he finished singing he wrapped his arms around you and Midorima and smiled.
“Make a wish! Shin-Chan and (first name)-Chan!”
Midorima sighed and leaned in and you both blew your candles out the same time. You were curious as too what he wished for. You went to reach for the knife picking it up as you were about to slice into the cake, Midorima grabbed your hand pushing the knife into the cake to make one slice. You slightly blushed. You took a plate out and gave Midorima the first piece. You gave Takao the second piece and you took a small sliver for yourself. You all ate the cake happily.
Just as Takao was reaching for another slice of cake his cell phone rang. He got up and said he had to leave. So then You and Midorima were left alone and you felt a bit uncomfortable.
Midorima stood up, “Excuse me for a minute.” He got up holding his box with the gift inside as he headed to the bathroom.
You got an unpleasant feeling thinking that he was going to try and flush your gift down the toilet. You couldn’t stand the thought and ran to your room slamming the door shut as you hid your face in your pillow and tried to hold back your tears.
Then you heard a knock on your door and Midorima walked in with his stuffed pig in his hands but the necklace wasn’t on its neck. He sat on the edge of your bed.
“What are you so upset about?”
You sniffled and looked away, “Y-You don’t l-like my present s-so you flushed it down the toilet…”
His eyes whidend as he turned you around, “Why on earth would I do that? I love your gift.”
You see the stuffed pig in his hands and the necklace around his neck. You blushed and rubbed your eyes embarrassed for even thinking that. You turned back away from him, your back facing him.
The bed creaked as it got a bit heavier. Midorima had hovered you with his body wrapping his arms around you tightly pulling you closer to him. His face right next to yours, his warm breath was tickling your shoulder.
“You want to know what my wish was (first name)?” He whispered which made you blush and you closed your eyes. He leaned his nose into your neck as you bit your lip trying to get your heart rate to slow down.
“I wished for Takao to leave so I could tell you that I loved you…” He quickly took his glasses off and placed them on your nightstand.
“I-I…l-love you to.” You kept your eyes shut.
“What was your wish (first name)?”
“M-My w-wish was that…you would feel the same way when I tell you how I feel…” You reached up and hugged his arms as he gave a small smile.
“Well…now you know.”
You nodded as he turned you onto your back and pulled your head towards him as he kissed you deeply.
You stayed in each others arms until you fell asleep at about 2 in the morning.
~Next day~
Midorima and Takao had a basketball tournament and the coach asked you to help him and become his manager. You agreed to it. As Midorima entered you realized he wasn’t holding a luky item. You watched him confushed.
He could feel your gaze as he gave a small smile and kissed the locket that you gave him for his birthday. Your eyes widen is shock.
“Shin-Chan! Whats that? Wheres your lucky item?” Takao narrowed his eyes at him.
He kept that soft grin on his face as he lifted up the locket that was around his neck, “This is my lucky charm.”
Your heart beat from him saying that as your cheeks flushed.
