Elias had officially entered a panic state. Twilight was fastly approaching and his son still hadn't returned from his trip into the woods.
He had figured he must have ventured to far into the forest and had gotten lost. Elias stress level was beyond a comprehensible scale as his sons scent was quickly becoming masked by the strong smell of humid summer air.
It was going to rain-
A million thoughts were running through his thick skull. All involved his child being in grave danger with this heavy feeling of dread. Unfortunately the kid took after his father when it came down to looks, horns and all. he also hasn't quite gotten a handle on magic so using a glamor spell was useless if he couldn't perform it on himself to hide from the outside world.
So he has lived a rather sheltered life not because he wasn't ready to deal with people but because people weren't ready to deal with him.
(No one is accepting of Some kind of human/fae hybrid-)
Having to isolated his child made Elias feel so very melancholy and he was sure his son's feelings were mutual, so giving him the freedom of exploring their neighboring woods was the least Elias could do for their child.
Sprinting frantically past trees and through the thick of the brush. His beastly form looking almost weightless as he flew through unchecked areas. "Elijah!" a Desperate father called out in a monstrous roar as he scouted more ground.
Nothing.
-That priest...Simon Cullum had helped deliver Elijah when they were out of options. Elias didn't want to run the risk of Chise giving birth in the spirit realm. The fae were untrustworthy in his eyes and a human doctor would have fled half way into the labor period as soon as he saw the head if looked anything like Elias.(which he did.) Elias himself wasn't a very religious person by any means and although the name ''Elijah" was suggested by the priest and it was quite biblical but as Thanks, he thought he'd humor the holy man by dubbing his son as the Yahweh.

Night had fallen a little less than an hour ago, the torrential downpour did nothing to slow him down, it only sent Elias into a frenzy. His weiling and screams that were meant for his child to respond to were only met with the sounds of a sleepless forest and a crying sky. Panting vigorously, he continued his search.
Chise was abroad teaching at some college for magic user in America. Leaving Elias to tend to their 96 month old. Childcare was never a strong suit of his. But Elias was not a bad father at all but letting something as irresponsible as losing your kid in the wilderness is something unforgivable as a parent.
It was coming down to the last few areas and the closest was 3 miles away. It's where the forest stops and a quaint little town begins. Tucked away in a steep valley And to think an 8 year old walked 3 miles in an hour is blasphemous But it wouldn't kill look before Elias really does kill something.
Having a heavy coat of fur soaked down to the bone didn't help the physical exhaustion Elias ignored. His sprinting slowed to a light jog has his red eyes darted from tree to rock to brush to...a porch light? He finally arrived at the border between civilization and wilderness and as the flood of bad thoughts continue eating away at his mind. Just a cluster of "what if's-"
"What if- the humans killed the 'said' horrid little creature."
His feet where ankle deep in mudd as he trekked along. Elias grew so desparent, he was just hoping for at least some kind of identifiable footprint- but lucky for him he had found more than just a footprint.
