"Rye wake up!" Someone whispers.

"What? M'tired. Let me sleep." I say flipping over.

"Rye, I lost my voice. I can't preform for the charity event today."

At the sound of urgency, or lack there of, in Andy's voice caused me to wake up and stay awake.

"What do you mean 'you lost your voice?'"

"I mean I lost my voice. I can't sing. The loudest I can yell is a whisper!" He coughed at his attempt to yell. I can see the pain talking gives him.

"Then what are we gonna do? You can't cancle on charity."

"No...but you can?"

"No I cannot cancel on charity. Did you not hear what I said?"

"No I meant you can preform. I'll play the music for you, and you sing."

"But, I cant do that either."

"Yes you can, your an amazing singer."

"But–" Andy gave me puppy dog eyes, which I couldn't refuse. "Fine."

I get up to get us breakfast, nothing much just pop tarts, and go back to the room. I threw Andy's hard at his chest, too make up for making me preform.

"Hey what was that for?" He choked out. I suppressed a laugh at the beautiful grotesque sound.

"Don't act innocent. Im gonna take a shower and get ready for your- I mean my performance."

Me and Andy arrived at the diner in our Christmas jumpers with bags of toys in our hand.

"You didn't need to buy out Walmart you know." Mikey said as he made his way towards us.

"We didn't buy out all of Walmart, just half of it."

I chuckled at my joke then focused his attention on Andy.

"You ready to sing?"

"I lost my voice." He said as he shrugged, "ryes gonna sing for me."

"Rye?"

"Yep."

"You can sing?"

"According to Andy I can."

"Hey Andy," one of the workers said, "your on in five."

"Well see you later mikey." We walked up to the stage and Andy grabbed his guitar. I was shaking my hands, biting my lips, basically anything I could do to distract myself from the group of people waiting for me to sing.

I felt a hand get placed on the upper part of my arm. I look up to see the blue eyes that I have fallen In love with over the last few days.

"Rye, you can do this. I'll be right here behind you."

It might be the fact that he was whispering too but I whispered a short but sweet thank you.

He lets go if my arm and I turn around to the microphone. "Hey guys, I know you came here for Andy, but he can't sing right now, so hopefully you can find it in your hearts to listen to me and donate to the hopes-hugs foundation.

We sang for the next 45 minutes or so,with a few short breaks in between. Everyone seemed to be enjoying it, and I was sure enjoying myself. I never understood the rush that singers get from being on stage, but I finally do.

We were about to start our last song when Andy tapped my shoulder.

"I don't feel so good."

"What's wrong?"

"I feel really light headed."

"Here." I help him take off his guitar and walk him to a seat by the boys.

"What about you? Are you gonna do it Acapella?"

"Don't worry I've got a few tricks up my sleeves."

I make my way back to the stage and pick up the guitar. I strum a few chords to get reused to the feeling. What Andy doesn't know is I'm a rusty guitar player and the chords of the song are pretty easy for me. I placed my mouth close to the head of the microphone. "So this will be our last song of the night, I know your all sad to see me go," I joked and actually got a few laughs. "Before you leave remember to drop a dollar or two off at the donation stand in the back, and get a picture with Andy Fowler if he's feeling up to it. Speaking of Andy fowler, I've had the pleasure of writing a song with him, and I'm going to sing it now." I clear my throat and say one last thing before I play.

"This is for that beautiful being sitting in the back."
