Chapter 3: Attack

(In the construction building)

~Master Chief POV~

I was sleeping on the ground till I woke up I look around the place, I couldn't find Cortana any where, I woke Arbiter up. He got up to his feet, he look at me. I started searching for Cortanna.

Arbiter: "What is it Chief?"

Master Chief: "Cortana, she is gone!"

Arbiter: "What! Are you sure she is gone?"

Master Chief: "If I knew where she is then I wouldn't wake you up then!"

Arbiter: "She has to be somewhere in the city"

Master Chief: "Let's go then"

We went outside to see where Cortana is. We search for her everywhere, I wanted to take a break. I'm always worry about her, I care about her. We kept on walking till we found some cafe, I sat down with Arbiter in a table for two people. We got some coffee he acted like he was reading the news paper. I just look outside, I hope Cortana is alright.

(Somewhere in Metropolis)

~Cortana POV~

I was walking with Lois Lane and Clark Kent. We look around the place then an explosion came from a building near us, we all look at it. Everyone was shock just looking at the building. I saw Superman fly to the building, he save the day.

Some villains and goons came running to us, they point some guns at us. They grab me, I grab Lois hand, she kept on holding to me. They grab her as well that we went somewhere else. I scream for help no one answer, I look around the place.

I saw Master Chief and Arbiter looking at the building then they look around the place. I scream for help to them, they saw me then they started running towards us. We got trap in a corner, the goons look behind them, Master Chief and Arbiter was there standing there looking at them.

Man1: "Who are you guys suppose to be?"

Arbiter: "Your worst nightmares"

Arbiter got out an energy sword, Master Chief brought out his gun. They got scared a bit, Arbiter walk towards them.

Arbiter: "Now we can do it this way you can let go of these girls right now or do we have to do the hard way"

The goons just look at them, Arbiter sign in disappointment.

Arbiter: "Looks like we have to do this the hard way, Cortana"

I smirk at them, I put my leg behind the man, I grab his arm I threw him to Arbiter. He caught the goon but he was also stab by the energy sword, Arbiter push him, he fell to the ground.

Master Chief: "Cortana Catch!"

He threw me a knife, I grab it. I ran to the man who was holding Lois Lane. I punch the guy in the face, he let go of Lois, she ran to me. I threw the knife to the other guys. I grab Lois hand and we started running to Arbiter and Master Chief.

Cortana: "Chief! Now!"

He started shooting at the villains, I saw them fall to the ground. One was getting up to his feet, he ran to Master Chief. Arbiter ran to the man, he swung his sword to the man, he dodge it. He brought out a knife then he stab Arbiter in the side of his stomach, he scream in pain.

Cortana: "Arbiter!!!"

Master Chief ran to the man, he jump up and punch the guy in the face. The guy fell to the ground, Arbiter was trying to get up, Master Chief grab his arm he put it around the back of his neck. I grab the other arm and I put around the back of my neck as well. We started walking him to the construction building. Lois followed us for some reason.

Lois: "We have to take him to the hospital"

Cortana: "We don't have to go to the hospital"

Lois: "Cortana your friend is bleeding blue blood on the ground leaving some trails on the ground"

Master Chief: "It doesn't matter we are not taking him to the hospital and that is it"

We made it to the building, we place him down to the ground. I started to patch him up, Master Chief went to Lois.

Master Chief: "You will tell no one were we are cause if you do, we will hunt you down! Do you understand?"

Lois: "Yes I get it"

Cortana: "You can stay here if you want to Lois"

Lois: "No I have to go if I don't Clark will search for me or Superman will see you later"

Lois left the building she went to her house. I sat down on the floor after I finish bandaging Arbiter he fell asleep, Master Chief went to me, he sat down right beside me, I told him about Lois and Clark. It was night time when I told him the story, he fell asleep. I smile and shook my head, I put my head on his chest and I went to sleep.
