EVER SINCE VIOLET WAS YOUNG, she had been walked upon. Whether it was the unruly kids at her school or her overbearing mother, who all thought she could never get anything right.
She wants to finally be noticed and heard.
Violet was sick of being known as the "doormat". She wanted more. She wanted to stand up for herself. She wanted to be listened to. She wanted to be considered a force to be reckoned with.
Leather jackets had always been associated with people who were more "rough around the edges" or outspoken. She believed that the stereotype around those jackets would help her gain more confidence, which is the first step. Violet wished to swap out her clean cut wardrobe, for something darker and more intimidating.
She saved enough cash from her coffee shop job and drove her beaten down car, to the shop that sold all things leather.
