Our story opens up on a dimly lit house in Wallachia, sitting at a table is (Y/N) Belmont, drinking a bottle of some unspecified alcohol.

There hadn't been much work for the vampire slayer recently as all of Wallachia seemed to be at peace, with the only people paying (Y/N) a visit being those who had been saved thanks to his actions in the past.

A sigh escapes his lips as he eyes the now empty bottle and pushes it away before standing up and moving over to a shelf where several weapons and artifacts can be seen sitting behind locked glass.

(Y/N): maybe Alucard was right... maybe this is for the best.

He glances behind himself and looks outside to see children running around and playing, birds flying, and families relaxing.

Sure it wasn't the fighting he had grown accustomed to but at least the townspeople were safe.

(Y/N): maybe it's time for the Vampire Killer to rest... with all the monsters taken care of there's nothing left for it.

A small, bittersweet smile finds its way upon his face while he glances at the weapon.

Suddenly the front door opens revealing Alucard standing there in some rather casual clothing, namely a white cloth shirt, black slacks and black boots.

Alucard: (Y/N), what are you doing in your armor?

A bit shocked (Y/N) glances down at himself to see the leather armor and metal vambraces on his figure.

With a sigh he shrugs before slowly beginning to take them off.

(Y/N): don't know, guess it's just become a habit to always put the armor on.

Alucard: I understand that you're used to the fights but you should try to relax a bit more, your mother and father never would've wanted to see you end up this way.

(Y/N): I know... it's just odd, I've only ever wanted to protect people and live up to the Belmont legacy... so why do I feel so empty now?

Alucard: It's likely just that you've grown so accustomed to fighting everyday that without it, it's like something is missing. Just give it time and the feeling will go away.

(Y/N): I hope you're right.

As (Y/N) begins to remove the last metal vambrace something catches his attention.

The town he was staying in has gone eerily silent.

It was a kind of silence that was usually followed by disaster.

Almost if by instinct (Y/N) opened up the cabinet next to him and pulled out the vampire killer whip before running out into the center of town.

Alucard yelling at him to wait as the two run to find out what was going on.

A figure stood there in the center of town, a long burned cloak adorned rather regal looking clothes, pale fingers were poking through dirty and bloodied bandages wrapped around his hands, messy black hair poked out from under the hood alongside a pair of round glasses.

The most alarming thing to both (Y/N) and Alucard was the color of the eyes that greeted them.

A deep crimson red.

(Y/N) readied himself for a fight until the figure simply smiled as he looked at (Y/N).

?????: are you by chance (Y/N) Belmont?

(Y/N): who's asking?

As if just realizing how weird he looked he pulled down his hood and was oddly enough not burned up in the sunlight, eliminating the possibility of him being a vampire.

Lukas: forgive my rude introduction, the name is Lukas Banem! At your service!

He gives a bow that would only be used for greeting royalty.

(Y/N): alright, Lukas, what business brings you here to find me?

Lukas: simple really, but do you mind if we talk somewhere a bit more private? The trip all the way here has made me rather tired.

Although a bit reluctant, (Y/N) leads Lukas back to the house where they both take a seat at his table.

Lukas: ah, that feels much better! Think I've been walking for a month now!

(Y/N): alright, now what did you want? Why have you come to this town to find me?

Lukas: well then, right to the point. I am in need of your services and can pay any amount you want.

Alucard: any?

Lukas: any.

(Y/N): really? Then give me five gold coins as payment right now.

Without hesitation the man pulls out a pouch and tosses it to (Y/N).

Alucard and (Y/N) look at each other before (Y/N) slowly opens the pouch to reveal it filled to the brim with gold coins.

Lukas: did that prove it?

(Y/N): yes it did, now then, what is it you need taken care of? I only specialize in taking care of beasts and creatures of the night after all.

Lukas: it's just that my friend! You see I come from a place that is overrun with the bloody things! That and there's been rumors of something... interesting happening.

Alucard: interesting?

Lukas: there's a reason I came to find you, it's not just the beasts that plague the city on the night of the hunt. There's another darkness lurking on the horizon now.

The man pauses for a moment before continuing.

Lukas: there are a few of my kind back at the town, Vile Bloods we're called, they got their hands on something they say will help destroy the healing church and make sure every last Vile Blood avenged.

(Y/N): they found some sort of ancient artifact?

Lukas: not an artifact from what I heard, the bones of an evil that has been only heard as whispers in the town.

Dread suddenly fills both Alucard and (Y/N) as they look at Lukas.

Lukas: they plan to use these bones, and if it's true, resurrect the man you call Dracula.

A/N: small change, just realized i'd had Lukas say town when i meant city.
