Okay, next person to tell me to update will be thrown into the sun.

Look, I know the next generation of fanfiction readers are coming up. I'm an older gen z kid, alright? been there, done that. But I have been writing and publishing fanfiction for 6 years. I remmeber Fanfiction DOT net, I remember Live Journal, I remember Blogger, I'm fairly old and experienced and I have seen it all. So here are some rules to follow when you comment:

DO
Tell me you like my story!
Tell me your favourite part!
Quote a part!
Give me Suggestions!
Tell me what you diidn't like in a constructive way!
Ask me questions!
[Comment] Can't wait until you update!

DON'T
'plz/please/pls update"
"why haven't you updated :/"
"I don't like this story"

ABSOLUTELY DO FUCKING NOT:
Give me snark then whine when I snarked back. I'm not your parent. I have no emotional investment in your well being, and if you're not mature enough to understand that when you kick a dog it will bite back. Maybe you shouldn't be reading or commenting on fanfiction.

Here's some rules of thumb to follow:
First, treat others how you want to be treated.
Authors don't owe you shit. We often write on our spare time to provide you with free content. And sometimes, golly, we have other projects we work on! Ones we prefer to work on!
Life sucks, and sometimes authors get sucked into it. We Don't Owe You An Explaination To That Either.

Wattpad has always been exceptionally bad for its comments section, but y'all need to grow up.

You've reached the end of published parts.
