His heart was beating wildly, his stomach threatening to recover any scraps of food.
He was panicking.
Cursing out to anything and anyone.
He did it, after all these years he finally did it.
It was so risky, he knew this. You may never find out, and he was okay with that.
What he wasn't okay with, was how predictable you were.
He paced back and forth in his bedroom, praying that you weren't up late. Praying that you would get over it. Praying that you would think you were overthinking it and shrug it off.

He looked at the butterfly in his hand, hoping you'd love it just as much as he loved you.
And let it rest on the top shelf before closing your locker gently. A smile rested on his face before walking away to the class you both shared. However, he didn't notice that someone had followed him until he heard the crash of a trash can nearby.
Startled, he turned back around, his heart racing and guilt flowing in his veins once he recognized the intruding witness.
"I tried, I really did." His voice cracking, eyes almost overflowing with tears. He only heard the boy's sigh and saw the sad gaze he had on him.
"I know.."
