Silver like and silent
Soft but painful
Small but tiring
And I am exhausted
Every night
I can feel these tears
Run down my face
Like the rain on my window
The one I wish to break
To break and run away
Maybe I wouldn't wish to
If you saw my tears
And cared
Saw the pain
Tried to make it better again
But you don't understand
My agony
You don't know of my shattering heart
You ignore
My cries and close the door
Locking me in
Over and over again
With my pain and tears
That I live through by hating
My eyes search for something
Though I can barely see through my glossy eyes
Covered by tears
Cause of anger, hate and lies
But I wish to see
Something worth my heart beating for
Maybe hope
Maybe joy
Or even love
Something to stop the tears
To wipe them away
So I can feel whole
To piece my heart once more
These tears
On my face
Can you see them
I wish you could
Then someone would wipe them off
And hold me close
Tell me it's alright
But
All I have are these tears
Making the floor wet
Maybe I'll die
Just by drowning
In my own tears.
