Elizabeth's heart nearly stopped as she heard Ivar's words. She couldn't believe that on the other side of the door, her husband stood waiting. If he actually followed through and let Jonah in, it was going to be the end of everything for her.

"Ivar....please." She whispered as low as she possibly could.

He glanced at your sister and smirked, amused by how she now appeared so frightened after being so confident just moments before.

"Give me a moment Jonah." Ivar loudly shouted as he began to put on his leg braces while Elizabeth continued to panic.

As she wrung her hands, she stared at him, unsure of what to do. There was no way of escaping the room unless she used the balcony. However, trying to climb down three stories wouldn't be wise. Abruptly, Elizabeth grabbed onto Ivar's arm, and pleaded silently with her eyes. However, being who he was, he merely moved her hand and finished buckling his braces. After wrapping fabric around his waist, Ivar stood with his crutch under his arm. As he made his way to the door, Elizabeth decided to make one last plea. She rushed to him and blocked his path.

"Move." Ivar hissed as he glared at her.

Getting on her knees, your sister latched onto his braced legs, letting go of the fur that was wrapped around her. She then began to sob, hoping that it would cause him to show mercy.

"Not so self-assured now, are we?"

With no regard for her display, Ivar gave your sister one last look before opening the chamber door. After taking a few steps, a confused Jonah stood in the doorway, peering oddly at the woman before him.

"Elizabeth?" He asked.

"That is her. It appears that your wife has a great deal to explain to you." Ivar said as he glanced at his brother-in-law.

"What is the meaning of this? Lizzy!" An astonished Jonah said as he entered the room slowly. He kept staring at his wife who couldn't bring herself to look at him. "Answer me!"

Your sister wrapped the fur around herself, utterly embarrassed and fearing her husband's reaction. Ivar, who had only the fabric around his waist, proceeded to tell Jonah all about his wife's behavior.

"So you see, it is for you two to sort out." He added as he walked to the bed and sat down. "Now if you would take your.....wife, I would like to get some rest.

Jonah grabbed your sister by the arm and got her on her feet. As they left the chamber, he grew even more furious. Not only with Elizabeth, but with Ivar as well. Though he understood that your husband had refused to be with her sexually, it didn't stop Jonah from harboring hatred in his heart. When they had finally left him alone, Ivar called to the Thrall who was outside of the door.

"Send for my wife and also, tell the Wet-nurse that I want my daughter."

You were standing alone in the courtyard with furs around you when King Solmund unexpectedly sauntered over with four guards in tow. He bowed politely before smiling at you.

"Y/N, my dear. It appears that I am not the only one unable to find rest this evening. Do you also take walks when sleep evades you?"

"Yes. I like to come out here and just gaze into the sky." You said, pulling the furs tighter over your shoulders. "I am not sure why, but, it brings me solace. Does that seem odd, your Majesty?"

"Not at all. I also like gazing into the stars. It makes a man realize just how insignificant we really are in the grand scheme of things. Tell me, do you enjoy living here? By that, I mean amongst us Heathens?
