I am busting at the seams. I am finally going home after a year and three months. I finally get to meet my nephew! I've seen pictures but I've never met him. The last time I went home it was for his parent's wedding. My older brother is his dad. I am smiling and getting so excited.

"Darling?" Tom says to me.

"Yeah, babe?" I say looking at him.

"Are you ok? You're really quiet." I smile.

"I'm fine, sweety. I'm really excited. While I was away my eldest brother and his wife had my nephew." He smiles.

"Have you ever met him?"

"No. But I'm really excited too. Look I have pictures." I pull out my phone and show him a picture of my little nephew.

"Oh, he is precious. He looks like he's gonna be a lady killer." I laugh.

"Yeah. I can't wait to meet him. So are you nervous about meeting my family?"

"Yeah, a little. But I know that nothing that they say or do will drive me away from you." I smile and blush.

"Well, I hope not. I love you." He smiles.

"I love you too." He kisses my forehead. I lay my head on his shoulder and gently grab his hand. He kisses my head. "So what is your family like?"

"Well, they are very protective. They have been that way ever since I was attacked."

"Attacked?!?! You were attacked?!"

"Yeah. I thought I told you."

"No. What happened?"

"I was walking to the drug store from the police station by myself. I had just dropped lunch to my brother and his deputy. My brother is the Sheriff. I cut through the alley behind the butchers and I saw this strange guy and I was almost to the end when he grabbed me and put a knife in between my ribs." Tom's eyes get huge and his mouth drops open.

"I had let out a scream which the butcher's son heard. Thank goodness. He came running out and he chased the guy down while his mom called the hospital. And ever since that day they have been crazy protective. Even worst than older brothers normally are." I lay my head back down on his shoulder and he wraps his arm around me.

"I'm so sorry. Did he actually cut you?"

"Mmhmm. I had to get 23 stitches."

"Gosh, babe." I lay my head on his chest.

"Tom?"

"Yes, love?"

"I was just thinking. What are we going to do about the kissing scene in the movie?"

"Oh my. I hadn't thought about that. We might have to get you a kiss double." I start laughing.

"I've never heard of a kiss double." He smiles.

"Nor I." He smiles and rubs my side. "Which side did that moronic jerk stab you?"

"The right side." Which is the side his arm is on and he starts rubbing it trying to find the scar. I giggle. "You trying to find it?"

"Yes." I take his hand and hold it.

"Well I'd like to show you but I won't."

"That's ok. I'll see it on our wedding night." I look at him.

"And how do you know we will be married?"

"Because I love you and you love me. And if your family really cared for you they would see that I am the best option for you and because I make you happy." I smile.
