Wolf's Den (Slow Updates)

Chapter 3

Hey guys, I am crossing my fingers that this is going to be longer than a page. On paper it's pretty long but we shall see.

So how has school been for everyone? (Despite the fact that there is only one of you reading at the moment I'm going to say "everyone" out of faith that I'm going to get more readers) Shchool comes with a hectic schedual for me so, like I said in the author's note before this, bear with me. I hate it but updating will be a as-much-as-possiable thing.

Now onto the book!

My mate went slack after the yelp that was much louder than the others. "Mom, what happened?!" I asked almost yelling over the sudden, eerie quiet.

"I think she passed out out from the pain, if i'm right she should shift back any second," Mom said, she finished speaking as my beautiful mate shifted back.

Her arms were still torn up really badly and it made me angry that anyone could do this to her. It also made me wonder why she was out there alone, packs don't usually kick out members, unless it's for some thing really bad, and rogues, loners to for that fact, could protect themselves better than this! So following that logic, what happened?

I went and got a sheet to put over my mate and looked at her arms, poor mate. I was now resting my hand on her hip while my mom wrapped her arms. "the damage was clearly done by someone who knew what she was, that damage was done by a silver blade," Mom said as she wrapped, I had guessed but I gasped at having it confirmed. The wounds would take weeks to heal, maybe more than a month, instead of just hours.

"Take her up to your room, keep her wrapped in the sheet till I find her something to wear. Stay with her so she dosen't wake up in a panic, when she does wake up that is," Mom said as if it wasn't obvious that I didn't want to leave her side. "Oh, and I know how it is to have a loner and rogue as a mate, don't think it knocks you from the alpha spot."

"I never thought it would," I said as I picked up my mate. "You always say 'An alpha is an alpha no matter what'," I quoted, I remember my mother saying it to me since I was a pup.

I walked beside my mother till we were at the top of the stairs, then we went out separate ways. In my room I placed my mate on the king sized bed. She was still wrapped in the sheet but was now hitting invisible opponents, she was having a nightmare.

Pain coursed through me and my body had finally had enough and dropped me into a deep sleep. At first it was a dreamless sleep, then getting kicked out of my pack came in. I was kicked out for trying to steal somone's mate, witch I didn't and would never do! As soon as I was out of pack territory rouges descended, I managed to outrun them but then I ran into some werewolf hunters.

Every one of them looked the same and I was out of sight and hearing range of any of them when I shifted back. I was dressed when I got to them, even with jeans to hide the fact that I didn't have socks on under my tennis shoes. I guess I was deeper in the woods then I thought because that's how they figured out what I was.

"Hi, I'm lost, can you help me get back to a main road, a highway maybe?" The three men laughed but I didn't find anything funny in what I said.

"Well boys it looks like we have ourselves a werewolf," The guy in the middle said.

"Werewolf? What are you talking about?" I asked deciding to play dumb and stair uncomprehendingly at the three.

"Give it up sweetheart, your to deep in the forest, the nearest cabin besides ours is days away when walking," The man on the left said.

'Crap' My wolf Mia said.

"So, it's three against one, you going to put the odds in your favor even more?" I asked, I was starting to get scared but was hiding it with my smart mouth.

The man on the right pulled out a knife and I laughed, then he pulled off the cover and I shrieked. "P-please d-d-don't," I pleaded.

"Sorry but the whole point is for us to hunt down rouges," The man with the knife said.

"Except I'm not a rogue! I was just kicked out of my pack for something I didn't do!" I shrieked at the three men but I could tell they weren't listening.

I tried to fight them off but they pinned me. I shrieked a scream that sent the birds flying from the trees and echoed through the forest as the knife bit into my skin.

I woke to being shaken and a soft sweet voice saying "Wake up sweetheart," His words reminded me of the werewolf hunter's and I shivered.

"Please call me something other than sweetheart," I said shivering as the word came out of my own mouth.

I looked at my surroundings. It was a grand room done in a mixture of burgundy and black. The king sized bed I was laying in was done in the same color scheme, so if any blood had gotten on it I couldn't tell.

The next thing I noticed was that I was dressed. The dark black pants didn't go to my feet but fit perfectly around my waist so I suspected that they were Capri's. The white shirt was really loose and smelled strongly of my mate, I knew it was his shirt.

"Where did the cloths come from and who dressed me?" I asked.

'Wow I must have drifted off' I heard him through mind link. 'My mom probably did it though, hold on and I'll make sure,' He added then went silent.

I waited anxious as he asked the Luna his question. He was beautiful sitting in the semi-darkness of the room. It was still day outside so I went to open one of the curtains. and basked in the sunlight.

I felt my mate's hands slip around my waist. "It was her," He said, I nodded and flet myself melt into his chest.

"Clary, why were you kicked out of your old pack?" He asked suddenly.

"Reasons I don't want to talk about unless absolutely no one can hear us," I said turning so I could look into his eyes, letting the fear show in mine.

"Let's talk tonight then, out in the woods, I know a great spot that no one can hear us at and is absolutely beautiful on clear nights," He said and I reached up and hugged him.

He leaned down slowly and kissed all the way up my shoulder and jawbone to my lips. Then we laid down on the bed. He kept teasing me till he actually marked me, things ran hot from there
