You sat at your table trying not to show your annoyance. It wasn't because of where you were; your cousin was marrying her long term boyfriend and you couldn't be happier for them. You were annoyed because your idiotic boyfriend was stood out in the cold smoking a cigarette... again.

You met Chris about seven years ago when you worked as the make-up artist on the first Captain America film. Actually, you met him when you walked into him with your 'giant, pain in the ass' makeup bag. You thought you'd broken the leading role before he'd even started. The two of you hit it off right away and even though you didn't start dating until during the second Captain America film, you'd always been close.

After being with Chris just over four years you knew him like the back of your hand. Multiple times you'd convinced him to give up smoking and multiple times he'd agree than start again and not tell you. You'd argue about it then you just decided it was his choice and you left him to it. Chris understood why you got so angry with him, he got angry with himself and he promised he'd try to stop the moment the two of you decided children were on the cards. You definitely wanted them. You were younger than Chris and wanted a few more years just the two of you, well that's always what you'd been saying.

"Auntie Y/N!" You turned your gaze from your boyfriends shivering form to your gorgeous little nephew, Austin.

"Hello handsome, what's got you grinning?" You grinned pulling your five year old nephew onto your knee, kissing his cheek.

He began giggling and trying to push your face away, declaring he was far too old for that. "Mummy said it was time for me to dance with you." He smiled.

You nodded smiling. "Okay, let's dance." You agreed trying to get up but Austin stopped you.

"Wait. I've got to ask you, first." He frowned a little. You apologised before letting him carry on. "Auntie Y/N, may I have this dance?" He bowed in front of you.

You bit back your laugh nodding. "You may, kind sir." You played along, taking his hand and getting up.

The pair of you walked over to the dance floor and began dancing to the music. You watched Austin belly laugh as the pair of you held hands and swayed to the music.

After the song finished and another one was just starting you felt a hand on your waist that was too large to belong to your nephew. "May I cut in, bud?" Chris asked standing by your side.

Austin raised his head looking up at you. You nodded smiling down at him. He nodded turning to look at Chris, holding his finger up at him. "Look after her, buddy." Then he wondered off over to his mum.

You giggled as Chris wrapped his arms around you, chuckling as he stood in front of you. "Well, that told me."

You nodded smiling. "It did, didn't it." You let out a small sigh, the smell of smoke hitting you.

"You okay, love?" He asked creasing his brow a little. You nodded lowering your gaze. Chris sighed pulling your body closer. "Are you really that annoyed with me for smoking?"

You shook your head. "I just-" you sighed closing your eyes. "I, just love you, so much and-"

Chris leaned closer and pressed his lips to yours as his left hand slid up your back until he cupped the back of your head, holding you in place. You moaned opening your mouth just enough for him to slip his tongue into your mouth. The pair of you closed your eyes as the kiss deepened until you needed to breath. You pulled back gasping, your face flushed from the passionate kiss.

"I know you love me and that's why you worry about me smoking. I appreciate you caring about me and I told you, as soon as we decided we want to start a family, I'll do everything I can to stop." He smiled softly.

You nodded taking a look around you. "Can we, talk outside?" You asked looking up to him.

Chris gulped nodding. "Of course, Sweetheart." He took your hand and lead you out the opened patio doors. The pair of you walked hand in hand through the gardens of the hotel until you came to bench. You sat in silence for a few moments, trying to work out what to say. Chris watched your every move, noticing you shiver from the cold air so he took his jacket off and draped it over your shoulder.

You thanked him before you began talking. "I'm sorry, if I've been getting on your back about the whole, smoking thing. I know I can be a bit of a pain about it." You held Chris' hand in yours. Your free hand tracing patterns on the back of it.

"Sweetheart, don't worry about it, honestly. I know it's because you care." He smiled.

You shook your head. "It's not that... I mean, of course I care about you. I love you." You looked at him, your eyes filling with tears. "But... there's something else..." you bit your lip nodding. "I know we said we sit and talk about it before we made any, decision but... I was at the doctors a couple of weeks ago... and, I just said it, without thinking."

"You said what?" Chris frowned a tad.

"I no longer wish to be on my birth control." You answered with a small grin.

Chris' eyes widened as he took in your words. "So you- you've not- we've-" he shook his head standing to his feet. Your heart sank at his reaction.

You knew you should have said something about it but it just happened and by the time you came out of the doctors you realised what you'd said and you didn't care. You were ready to have children with Chris. You didn't care you weren't married or even engaged. You loved him and wanted to be the mother of his children.

"Chri-"

He spun round and quite literally fell on you as he tried to kiss you. The pair of you fell back of the bench as your lips met in yet another passionate kiss in mid air as you fell to the grass behind you. Chris held you in his arms as you shared a kiss filled with love. Your hands gripped a hold of his shirt as you pulled him closer. Your mouths moving in sync as you deepened the kiss, your tongues dancing together.

"Ew!" You pulled back at the loud screech of horror coming from your nephew who'd run off to tell his Mummy he'd caught you kissing with Uncle Chris.

You and Chris laughed together as he helped you up off the floor, apologising for knocking you over. "So, we're gonna have a kid?" He asked grinning.

You nodded wrapping your arms around his neck. "Yes, please." You smiled, leaning up and kissing him.

He nodded grinning. "Okay. But, we're not married yet. Do you want to-"

You began laughing, covering his mouth with your hand. "I don't want to marry you just so we can have a kid, Chris. We'll get married, when you're ready. Besides, we've got a while yet before anything happens." You reminded him.

He nodded taking a deep breath. "Right. First things-" he let go of you so he could put his hand into his pocket and pull his cigarettes out. He placed them in your hand, kissing you on the forehead with a smile. "Get rid of them. I'll go to the doctors first thing and get help. I made a promise and I'm gonna keep it this time. I mean it, Sweetheart. I love you and I'll love our children with all my heart.. I promise."

You nodded, leaning up to give him another kiss. "Thank you."

He shook his head. "Thank you for giving me this chance." He smiled softly. "Never thought I'd ever be this happy and then you walked into me with your giant, pain in the ass makeup bag." He smirked at you.

"Asshole..." you smirked back, playfully hitting his chest.

"I love you."

"And I love you."
