"Isabella." Chris whispered.

Sebastian looked up from his feet frowning. "Who?"

"If it was a girl, I was going mention it to Y/N. Her name." he sobbed. Sebastian quickly pulled him into a hug, comforting him.

"Mr Evans, you can come back in, now." the nurse nodded before disappearing again.

Chris and Sebastian quickly ran back to the room you were sat in, crying. Chris heart broke as realisation hit him.

You looked up shaking your head. "I'm sorry, Chris."

"I'm sorry, Chris."

You tried not to cry anymore but your emotions were all over the place. The moment Chris walked into the room and you saw the broken look in his eyes along with Sebastian who looked almost as broken, those words just slipped out.

Chris wrapped his arms around you as he pulled you into his chest. "Hey, what are you sorry for?" he kissed your hair, holding you tightly.

"For all this drama." you sniffled.

Chris closed his eyes trying to hold himself together. "Shh... baby-" Chris rubbed the back of your head kissing your forehead. "It's going to be okay, baby."

You nodded taking a deep breath. "I know, baby... it's okay." you whispered looking up at him. Chris frowned shaking his head as he pulled back. You chuckled, brushing his tears away. "The baby, it's okay." you whispered.

"It's what?" Chris and Sebastian both stared at you.

*knock, knock* Your Doctor, a man in his late 30's, opened the door and peered in. "Can I come in, Miss Y/L/N?" you nodded smiling at him.

"I'll, wait outside." Sebastian excused himself quickly.

The Doctor nodded as he gave you and Chris a reassuring smile. "How are you feeling?" he asked as he walked towards you, picking your charts up.

"Better." you answered.

"Confused." Chris answered as he rubbed his face, making you laugh a little.

The Doctor chuckled slightly. "Yes, well, that's understandable, Mr Evans." he smiled taking a deep breath. "Mother and baby, are both okay." he smiled as he opened his folder. "Both healthy, both strong heartbeats, both perfectly okay." he handed Chris a sonogram picture. "See."

He nodded frowning slightly. "Yes, in some cases, usually bleeding of this quantity does mean a miscarriage but, not always. Sometimes, within the first 12 weeks the cervix goes through a lot of changes, one being there's extra blood flowing and, any slight knocks can cause bleeding." he explained.

"Knock's? But, she's not fallen or anything, have you?" Chris' voice was laced with panic suddenly as he turned his attention back to you, his hand protectively laying on your belly.

You shook your head placing your hand on his. "No, baby, I haven't." you reassured him.

He let out a deep sigh, relieved. "So, what could have caused it?" Chris frowned.

"Any number of things... infections being one, but there's no traces of any sort... another one is, hmm, intercourse." the Doctor chuckled glancing from you to Chris.

"Oh-" Chris' eyes widened as a blush crept on his face. He turned back to you frowning. "So, this is my fault?"

"Oh, no, Mr Evans-" the Doctor shook his head as he stepped forwards. "It's no ones fault. During pregnancy, everything is just... a little sore, unsure of itself until after 12 weeks." he reassured Chris. Chris nodded and slowly took a seat next to you in the chair by the bed, his eyes glued to the scan photo. "Have you anymore questions?" the Doctor asked you.

You shook your head. "Not for now, thank you Doctor."

He nodded giving you a smile. "That's fine. If it's okay with you, I'd like to keep you in overnight. Make sure everything is a hundred percent okay." he smiled softly at you as he double checked your charts. You nodded smiling up at him. "Okay. I'll check back in an hour or so."

Silence filled the room once the Doctor had left. You smiled softly as you looked down to Chris who was still staring at the photo. "Hey." you whispered.

He lifted his head, showing the tears fall down his face. "Hey." he smiled tiredly.

"You okay?"

He nodded sniffling, wiping the tears away. "Sorry." he chuckled as he stood to his feet. "I'm fine. You? This must have been really tiring for you?" he asked as he bent over and pressed a kiss to your forehead.

You nodded, placing your hand on his cheek rubbing his beard. "I'm fine, sweetheart." you whispered before pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "I'm sorry for worrying with all this."

"Hey-" Chris shook his head, scooting on to the edge of the bed so he could wrap his arm around you. "You listen to me... anything that's to do with you and the growth of our child, major or minor, it involves me. Got it?" he smiled softly as he cupped your cheek. "None of this was your fault." he whispered, resting his forehead against yours.

You nodded biting your lip. "Yours neither."

*knock knock* Sebastian popped his head round with a worried look on his face. "How are you doing?" he gave you an unsure smile, making your heart swell. He really did care about you guys.

You nodded smiling, nodding to Chris as you tapped his hand. "Show him." you whispered.

Chris grinned down at you before looking up to his best-friend. "Want to meet our baby?" he held the sonogram up for Sebastian to see. His eyes glazed over as a grin spread across his face. "Dude, you gonna cry?" Chris teased.

You slapped his arm. "Chris." you smiled looking back to Sebastian. "Seb?"

"Wow-"

Chris snored in the hospital chair with his feet resting up on the bed, the sonogram picture laid across his left peck being protected by his right hand. Sebastian had left about three hours ago after you made him go after almost an hour of begging him to get some sleep. Chris thanked him with one of their 'bro'hugs before the pair of them pulled back sniffling like little girls and laughing. Drama queens.

You don't know how long Chris had been asleep but you were thankful he'd fallen asleep finally. He looked so tired and drained, it broke your heart. You hated him worrying, it wasn't good for his anxiety and the last thing you wanted was for that to get the better of him.

You loved him with all your heart and would do anything to protect him. Him, and your baby.
