Sam and Y/N finished up at the diner and headed back to the motel. Climbing out of the truck and up the stairs they stopped while Y/N opened the door to her room. Letting the door swing open and stepping in the room just enough to see flip the light on.

"Oh my god." Y/N says while bringing a hand to her mouth.

"What the hell happened?" Sam asks, both withdrawing their guns from the back of their jeans. Sam moving in front of her to check the bathroom. "No one's here."

"Someone was! Look at my stuff!" She tells him, walking over to her torn clothes that are scattered in the corner of the room. Looking over at the smashed television on the floor. "Who would do this?" She bends down to pick up her bag. "All of my clothes are ruined!"

"I brought you another bag, remember."

"Sam, this was most of my wardrobe. My favorite band t-shirt." Picking up the black t-shirt that had been ripped to shreds. The shirt was from the last concert that her dad took her to, before he died.

"I know, Y/N/N" Sam says, looking around the room. When he spots the single word that's written above the bed, he walks towards it. "Y/N."

She turns towards his voice to see what he's looking at. Standing up and walking to stand behind him. "Is that blood? And what does that mean? What could 'mine' mean?" She asks, her heart beating hard behind her ribcage.

"I think someone's pissed that we're here together."

".....Dean." She can feel that color leave her face. "How did he know we were here? Did he follow you?"

"He must have. Something's wrong, Y/N. This isn't like him. Something is happening to him." Sam tells her, turning to face her. He sees the color from her face has vanished and that she's shaking. He gently pulls her to him. "It's okay. We'll figure this out. Something's happening."

"What could be happening, Sam. This is getting out of control. What's going to happen next?" She asks while clinging to him, like he's the only thing keeping her from passing out.

"I don't know, Y/N, but I promise I won't let anything happen to you." He puts a hand on the back of her head and rubs her back. "Cas, we could use your help right now." He calls up to the angel. Within seconds they hear the familiar sound of the angel's wings behind them. Turning, they see him looking around the room.

"What happened?"

"We're pretty sure it's Dean. Something is going on with him. He followed me here. He knew I was meeting up with Y/N and trashed the place while we were gone. He's been angry, more so than usual."
Sam explains. Hoping that leaving out the rest of what has happened, will be enough to convince the angel to help them.

They watch as Cas moves over to the wall with blood dripping down it. "Dean did this? Why would he do this?" He asks, turning to them.

Y/N and Sam look at each other. "Sam and I have been spending more time together since we got home from the last case and he hasn't been too happy with us. Dean and I got into an argument and I left to take care of this case. Before I left, I told Sam that he could drive down and meet me." She tells him.
