Ciel's POV
I walked out of the hospital. People crowded the entrance of the building some with camera's others with microphones. It was odd. Of course I was used to it from when I was little, but it's been a while since a camera's attention was on me. Let alone people who weren't trying to rape me.
Images flashed through my mind and I was having an internal panic attack, but as usual I was completely stoic. I was kind of surprised the hospital let me out in a day. Last time I was here I had a headache and they kept me there for a week. I sighed. At least I won't have to wait too long to get started on life.
I was swarmed still even though I ignored everything that I was asked. I waited at the corner of the street and held my hand out. You'd think I'd be more careful about going with strange people, but I've been through hell and back. Whatever they plan on doing to me, doesn't stand a chance.
It wasn't long before a women driving a cab stopped in front of me. I heard a question that appealed to me right before I opened the car door. "What comes next Mr. Phantomhive?" I turned to the reporter holding a microphone.
"I'm a Phantomhive, and my family always bounces back. I won't fail to do so either." I entered the car setting the box beside me and buckled my seat-belt.
"Where to Mr. Phantomhive?" A young female voice sounded from the driver's seat.
"The old Phantomhive estate."I answered.
"You got it." She began to drive in the direction of the countryside. It was silent aside from the sound of soft classical music in the background. "I'm sorry. I told myself that I wouldn't mess with you, considering the mob behind you was a bit irritating, but...I'm curious." I gave her my attention seeing as the ride was going to be long and it was rude to disrespect my driver.
"Go on then."
"What happened to you?" I sighed.
"Well, the fire wasn't an accident. I know that much. I was kidnapped by some cult. They found me in a hideout a few hours ago and here I am now. I don't think you would like the juicy bits you're looking for." I informed vaguely. The women pouted, but didn't push the subject.
The rest of the ride was silent. It was awful. It has only been a few hours since I was last in this kind of silence. It was never clam like this, but it was silence nonetheless. I sighed a breath of relief when we arrived at the old building. Surprisingly there was a larger, more modern manor built on the land.
I raised my brows at this and couldn't wait to see what would happen. The taxi left without charging me. I guess it was out of pity, but I wasn't one to complain about a free ride. I paced up the light grey cement steps to the front door. I had to crane my neck to see the whole of the building. After acknowledging the well built manor, I knocked.
A few seconds of waiting and the door was opened by a young man in a butler's suit. I stoically stared at him for a second waiting for his greeting. Must be a noob. I shook my head and raised my brows gesturing it was his queue and he got the message. "Sorry sir. H-how may I be of assistance?" He rushed standing to attention.
"I need to see your master immediately." He cocked his head to the side looking down at me. He took a second to register the words before he grew a smile and crouched down to my level. "Aww. Poor little thing. Where are your parents?" He said while peeking behind me.
"Died in the fire of the Phantomhive family's manor. The one this estate is built over." He jerked at my calmly pronounced words and almost fell back. He stood straight and opened the door of the building. I walked in and he offered to take the box, but I just clung to it more.
