Frisk walked up to Sans, waiting for him to finish retrieving his stuff from his pig sty of a locker.

"I'm so done with today! I really don't want to stay til the end," Frisk exclaimed, exasperated.

"That's not gonna happen, kid, and you know you still have to sit through four more lessons and two more quizzes?" Sans added.  Frisk winced and groaned.

"Just kill me instead?" She suggested.  Sans chuckled.  "No can do, kid, let's go to English."

"Sans?" Mrs. Donburi whacked her pointer against the board as she called Sans's name.

Sans was asleep on his desk with his head in his hand, snoring slightly. He snorted, stirring awake and yelled, "I'M NOT GOING BACK TO JAIL!"

Everyone laughed, and as soon as Sans realized where he was, he sighed, and went a little blue in the cheeks for yelling so loud.

"Sans!" Mrs. Donburi scolded. "If you would prefer to sleep rather than learn, then detention will be a good punishment for your behavior." Sans chuckled a bit.

"That's the fourth day this week, Mrs. Donburi! Maybe I can get a week's worth?" he joked. The class laughed, looking to Mrs. Donburi for a response. She was smiling, she enjoyed Sans in her class, but knew he wasn't a very good student.

"Keep dreaming, Sans!" she replied, earning a small laugh from everyone.

"In your class, no problem!" Sans made finger guns.

Mrs. Donburi chuckled. The whole class was in a positive mood now, rather than bored and tired. Frisk was covering her mouth with her hand to muffle her laughs, tears forming in her eyes. She calmed herself down, and glanced over at Sans to shake her head at him.

She shifted her gaze, and was a bit surprised to see him staring at her, smiling. They locked eyes, sharing a small moment of bonding, and Sans winked at her. His cheeks were tinted blue, lightly, which made Frisk blush.

Frisk continued the lesson with a smile plastered on her face.

Frisk briskly walked to her locker, every so often getting a jam in the shoulder from students recklessly rushing through the halls to scream to one another.

She bent down, opening the lock and picking up a notebook. The bell rang and half of the students cleared out, which left a few kids still scrambling to their classes. Frisk was just about to close her locker when she felt an aggressive arm yank her up so she was standing. They turned her around so she could see who was doing the damage.

"My lovely Frisky," Axel sarcastically beckoned. "How has your day been going?" Frisk heated up in anger, cheeks darkening to crimson.

"Back off, Axel," Frisk attempted to put up a strong front, but failed miserably when her voice came out weak and small.

"What was that, Frisky? I couldn't hear ya!" he taunted, looking for a reaction. She groaned in disgust.

"Let go of me."

Her voice was assertive and a bit intimidating, but Axel was worse.

"Okay," he casually let her go, like it was that easy.

She sighed, turning to walk away when she felt a yank on her hair, and was being pulled back painfully. She winced, and was about to slap Axel when he grabbed her by the collar of her shirt to lift her from the ground.

Her eyes shifted between his fearfully, waiting for him to say something.

"Hey, Jerk-off," someone greeted from the other side of the hall. Frisk's attention shot to them, and she felt a rushing wave of relief course through her veins.

"Sans," Frisk whispered, a new wave of surprise running through her.

"Well, well, well," Axel mused. "If it isn't skeleton boy, coming for his princess." He set Frisk down for a second.

Sans yawned.

"You know, your humor is bone-dry, Axel," Sans joked, winking at Frisk who laughed a little, adjusting her now wrinkled shirt and rubbing her collar bone.

"Who cares? This one really likes me." He gestured towards Frisk while aggressively putting his arm around her shoulders, which she immediately attempted to remove.

"Just kill me instead," Frisk coldly spoke as Axel firmly kept his arm around her shoulders.

"Yeah, so judging by that reaction, I'd say she's gotten tired of you, so, I'm just going to steal her really quick for her next class," Sans told him.  He walked over to Frisk, smirked, and grabbed Axel's arm to lift it.

Axel laughed mockingly, and sent a quick and strong punch to Sans's gut.

Sans stumbled back a step, but regained his balance quickly.  He was looking at Axel with fury clear in his eye now ablaze.  He had a smile spreading across his teeth, growing.

"Oh, buddy boy, you may think you can see straight through me," Sans began, his voice lined in a coming threat.

"But I see through you."

Sans used his power to rid Frisk of the rodent that kept his arm around her.

He threw Axel to the other side of the hall, causing him to slide along the smooth tiled floor as he went.

Frisk was blushing, so happy Sans had come to her rescue, and was about to say something when Sans wrapped his arm around her shoulders.

"Let's get out of here, kid," he told her as he turned to the direction of their next class.  Frisk smiled at him.

"Thank you," she mustered.  "How'd you know where I was?" Sans smiled.

"You can't get rid of me, kid.  Plus, I heard the jack ass say 'Frisky' and I didn't see you around the halls so, where else would I go?" Frisk chuckled.

"My hero!" she joked, leaning her head on his chest.  Sans laughed and looked down at her.

They locked their gaze, and there was an awkward tension between them where Frisk's eyes kept glancing to his teeth.

Sans cleared his throat, "H-Here we are."

"I'm not excited for science," Frisk sighed.  "Don't make me go in!" Sans looked at the door, and back to Frisk.

"Yeah, okay."

Frisk laughed, then looked back to Sans who was looking at the doorway with reluctance.

"Are you serious?" Frisk whispered.

"Yeah, kid, you don't want to go, we won't go." He smiled at her nonchalantly.  She blushed a rosy pink, and turned her head down to avoid his stare at her.

"Let's go to Grillby's," he suggested, keeping his arm around her.  "Since it's the last period, there's no point in staying longer."

She chuckled as they rounded the corner to leave the building.

"Damn!" Sans slapped his forehead.  "I have detention."

Frisk frowned.

"Just come back afterward to go to detention, I'll tell Dr. Paperno that I skipped so I'll get it with you."

Sans smiled, "Really kid?"

She nodded with a reassuring smile.

"Why not? I'll just tell Toriel that I'll be late home," Frisk shrugged off, getting her phone out and punching a few buttons.

Sans smiled wide at her, winked, and they kept walking out the doors.

Axel stood at the end of the hall, a tinting glow in his eyes, staining them red.

"It's not over, Frisk."
