Maybe in an other life

Chapter One

Today I am going to get out of this building. I was in hospital now for over 3 weeks! And it's now also three weeks Sakura Haruno, former member of Team 7, and I Sasuke Uchiha are in an official relationship. Yeah, I cannot believe it either. The Sasuke Uchiha is in relationship, with a fan-girl no less. I know, she isn't a fan-girl anymore. In the time we shared together as Team 7, along with Naruto and Kakashi, she became less annoying. When she brought me to hospital I didn't fail to notice her worried expression and when she told me she loves me something inside of me told me to try it with her. But there was also a part of me that still despises her. Naruto never uttered a word about me and Sakura. I know he has a huge crush on her, but I don't know what to do. They are both my best friends. Breaking up with Sakura will break her heart, remaining with her will break Naruto's heart. I need to think about something, fast!

Anyways, I am finally discharged, and that means I can eventually work as a shinobi of the leaf. I set myself the goal to restore the police and become head of it. Like my father, Fugaku Uchiha, once was. Maybe with that I can make them, my family, happy. Never I wished for anything else than to make them proud of me. Itachi, will we meet again someday, when I say goodbye to this life? I have to tell you so many things.

„Mr. Uchiha, you may leave now. You just have to sign these release papers." I looked at the door of my hospital room and saw a woman with short blonde hair and green eyes looking at me with a blush and the papers in her hands. I innerly rolled my eyes, an other fan-girl, how nice. I nodded at her and she gave me the papers. Quickly I signed my name above the line and I packed my stuff leaving the hospital.

On my way to my appartment I see Naruto coming in my direction. I guess he has some news for me. Sometimes he really acts like a girl!

„Oi, teme!" He is still calling me that! Fine, then . . .

„What do you want, dope?" I said smirking, he scowls at me. Well, you started it.

„However, I wanted to ask you something!" He told me and I gave him a look to motion him to go on.

„Who is [y/n] [l/n]?" I tensed up at the mention of her name. How does he know her.

„Why do you want to know?" I ask him avoiding his question. He narrows his eyes at me and by then I knew he isn't going to let off.

„You recieved a letter from her. I went to your home, because I thought you would be dismissed by that time, but I got proven wrong. I saw an owl with the letter at your front door and took it. So, may I know who this girl is?" Naruto explained. I can't believe his words. She really has written me. The last time I saw her was before I killed Itachi. This is now ten months ago! What could she want?

„She is a special girl. I will tell you someday, I promise." I told my bestfriend and he nod giving me the envelope. I went home and opened the paper hesitantly. I pulled out the paper and read the letter of her.

Dear Sasuke Uchiha,

Maybe you doesn't even remember me, but I have a little faith you do. It's me [Y/N]. We met two years ago, when you were still at Orochimaru. Anyway, do you remember what you told me about your goal? You said you wanted to restore your clan, and kill the one who took away anything, Itachi Uchiha. I heard you succeed in doing the last, I am sorry for your loss. He was a good brother, right? I kind of knew it, but wasn't sure about it. Your plan about restoring clan . . . I hope you still have this goal, because . . . well. Do you remember what, you know, we did before you went to your match with Itachi-san? It meant a lot to me and you are my first and last love. Well, what I want to tell you with this letter is, you have a son. Yes, I am not kidding! He is a month old. And his name is Raiden, Raiden Uchiha. He looks exactly like you! Raven hair and onyx eyes. A true Uchiha. I am sorry that I can't be his mother for long, but I hope you can be his father. I do not force you, I just wanted you to know. I know that you are in a relationship with your teammate. Her name is Sakura Haruno, right? Congratulations, I bet she is a kind, loving person. Just like you without your mask. But I have to admit, I kinda wish to be the woman next to you. Being a family, you, Raiden and me. But those are only dreams and aren't going to happen. Maybe in an other life. When you read this I may be dead by now. I don't know really. If you want to meet me and Raiden come to the cave we always used to meet. I will be there, hopefully still alive. I will tell you everything.

I couldn't believe what was written there. Me? A father? I was debatting whether to be happy or sad. Sure I want to restore the Uchiha clan, but I am so young. And also, she said she will die. Why? Why are the ones I love leaving me so early. I need to meet her now. I left my house and are now running straight to Naruto's. Hopefully he is at home. I knock twice on his door then he opens it. He looks at me confused.

„What's with that look? 'Seen a ghost?" He said and grinned. I clutched the letter in his hand and demanded him to read. His eyes widened and his face went pale.

„Now who's seen a ghost? I need to go, now and you come with me!" I told him and he nod.

„What about Sakura-chan? Have you told her about that ?" I shake my head 'no' at his question and he again nod. I don't need this pinkette now. I will tell her later when I got Raiden. I will take him, if possible her either.
