~"Are you even listening to me?"
"Yes... it just takes me a while to process so much stupidity at once."
Vale was stressed.
He was far far away from home and barely able to grasp onto the fleeting safety he could find on the streets of London. Vale was not used to being on the run. Especially not with a girl he barely knew and some murderous stranger on their tail. This was all new to him. VERY new.
Normally, action and adventure would excite him. Being the bibliophile he was, it was all he read about as a kid.
Now all Vale could think about was how he yearned he could just wake up from this horrendous dream and go back to how his life was a few years ago.
Too bad fate is a prick.
"Micah, do you realize how crazy you sound right now? Our lives are at stake and you want to just waltz back there where they are all waiting for us? Clearly you're insane!"
Vale had changed so much since when he left home. Before he met Micah. Vale, the aloof *bad boi* was actually a broken boy inside.
Being put under pressure sure brought out the best in him..
He still had his sarcastic qualities though. Obviously, because THAT was definitely going to help him in this kind of situation.
"Just trust me. It's the only way we won't get killed."
...
"... Killed? I didn't know I could get killed all this time! Are you seriously telling me now that these random people want me dead and you didn't even tell me?"
A droplet of sweat slowly rolled down his face.
If he had not followed Micah, he would have never been here.
I don't want to die yet... I have soo much to live for...
From the time he spent with Micah, Vale knew she was more resistant than anyone he had seen. He may be strong and more agile than others, but to survive this he was going to need to be more than that. Micah was "more than that".Though he admired her, Vale knew he was nothing compared to her. Sure, he was stronger back at school, but this girl was way beyond him.
She was invincible.
Micah sighed. It was going to be difficult explaining to him and they barely had enough time.
Micah will survive this, but Vale wasn't a hundred percent sure that he would too.
Even though Vale trusted her - could he trust her with his life?
This was all because of that damn train...
