Waking up to the sun brightly shining on my face, I see a figure standing next to my windows, fiddling with the curtains.

"Steph, what are you doing in my room?" I ask her.

"Well, you weren't feeling quite good yesterday, so I decided I'm going to look after you today. Or until you feel better".

" Stephanie... You don't have to because I'm leaving today. I'm going back home to check on my dad".

"Oh yeah. I saw your suitcase full of clothes. I predicted something like that was bound to happen".

I sat up straight and grabbed my phone. It had thirteen missed calls from an unknown number. Not in the mood to call anyone today, so I just dismissed the messages.

I went into my Instagram and scrolled through the new posts like I usually do. Steph then approached me with a cup filled with hot chocolate and little marshmallows on top. I gladly took the cup and drank it, delighted.

A couple minutes went by of me lazing around the house, before deciding to shower.

Steph has called Marie and asked for a ride to the airport. She'll be here in about twenty minutes.

My thoughts keep hovering in my mind. Why me? I really don't think I deserve it. I mean... Ugh never mind.

I come out of the shower, water dripping down my body. I walk all the way to my room and meet Steph there. My room likes more cleaner. My bed has been made and the floor free'd from all the clothes and shoes.

" Steph? You know I can do this right?" I say to her.

"Yeah. But you aren't feeling well. So I figured I could help you clean"

"But Steph, you didn't 'help', me. You did everything"

"Ugh don't worry. That's what sisters are for" she says as she heads got the door. I appreciate her help and really love her.

"Steph. Thanks sis"

"Anytime".

There's a sudden emerging sound coming from outside. And that's obviously Aunt Marie. I peep out from my window and spot her car on our driveway. She comes out the car with a bag full of groceries. I quickly get dressed and get my suitcase ready. I dragged it downstairs and into our living room to meet Marie.
The door flew open before I even knew it.

"Kids. I'm home. Come help me with the groceries".

"Mom! We're not 'kids'. We're like young adults now" Karla said as she stepped in the room, rolling her eyes after every sentence she said.

"Karla, honey. If you an 'adult' as you claim to be, then you'll be outta my house. And don't you ever think of rolling those eyes at me. Ever! Now help me with the groceries, kid".

Steph and I laughed at how irritated Karla seemed but she managed to pull a straight face so Marie can't notice her. Aunt Marie can be playful but spiteful sometimes, so better watch your language when around her. We offered to help her with unpacking the groceries.
Midway done, she called me aside and we went to her room.

" Honey Sandra. I heard about your father's situation. Honey, don't let it get to you. Karla also told me how you skipped a whole bunch of classes. Now that's not right. You have to be strong no matter what you going through. Just know it'll pass. Okay, dear?".

Woah... She just gave me a whole lot of words which I don't know how to react to. She stood there, smiling wearily, fiddling with her nails. Its so obvious that she's waiting for my response.

"Uhm... Aunt, thank you for those encouraging words. But I think I'll manage. I mean... You know... Its my first time experiencing something like this, and its what fate led to. I guess I have to be comfortable with my situation. Thanks again, though", I said as I stood up and walked to the exit. She followed soon enough but managed to get to the kitchen before I could. Stupid short legs I've got here. The twins looked at me then Marie with the 'what's happening?' look. "Don't you dare" was all Marie said before they continued to what they were going through.

Its time to get to the train station and my suitcase was all packed neatly into the car.
We drove for half an hour before we saw people walking in and out of this building. Which I assumed was the station. The car parked next to the station and we unpacked my luggage. And it was pretty heavy. We walked towards the entrance until we got my ticket and waited for the train. Karla and Stephanie didn't show any emotion towards me leaving, but I didn't have that in mind. Their emotions are straight on blank... No mood.
I questioned myself, but never asked them.

My train finally arrived and we said our goodbyes. I carried my bags into the train and found a good seat. Once settled and ready to leave, I pulled out my phone. I texted my mom to expect me any in an hour or two. I wanted to be welcomed with my favourite dish that she used to prepare...
