Difficult times?
Everyone has them, right?
People are often asked,
" How did you get through them?
What keeps you from giving up? "
Some call it grit.
Paul was in taxing times.
Prison.
Shipwrecked.
Beaten.
How did he manage?
"But one thing I do," he said.
" Forgetting what is behind
and straining toward what is ahead.
I press on toward the goal
to win the prize for which God has called me... "
(Philippians 3:13-14)
Why straining?
Because memories,
bad memories, keep you from your destiny.
They drag you down.
You need to learn lessons from them.
Then move on toward what is ahead.
Today we call it "grit".
Press on.
God Almighty
