Dear Journal,
I’ve decided to keep you to record everything that’s going on while visiting Wolverhampton. The truth is I’m on the verge of depression. This is the first time I’m visiting Liam’s family since the break up and it’s just all too awkward. They just about passed out when they saw I was pregnant. Update on Niall: he apologized to me the other day for what happened in Bradford. It was the first time I had talked to him since then and all I wanted to really do was tell him I loved him and rip off hi
“Rhiannon? Are you in there?” Liam asked me from the other side of his door. I had been sitting on his bedroom floor.
“Yea! Just give me a second!” I answered him as I struggled to stand up. “Actually, could you come in here please?” I closed my journal and threw it onto Liam’s pillow. He opened the door and put an arm around my waist and lifted me up easily. “Thank you Lili.”
“No problem Rhi,” he answered quietly. His arm was still around my waist and my face was dangerously close to his. I could feel his hot breath on my lips and I wanted so badly to lean forward and close the familiar gap between our lips, but I had to think of Danielle and Niall. I pulled away from Liam and fixed my shirt.
“So, um… yea..” I stuttered.
“Why are we so awkward?” Liam interrupted.
“I don’t know! We were friends before, why can’t we be friends now?” I asked.
“Yea! And you love Niall anyways!” Liam hurried. I looked at him in shock. “Rhiannon, everyone can tell.”
Liam looked down. “Everyone except that bloody idiot in the other room,” he muttered softly.
“What?”
“Liam!”
“Ok, fine! He loves you too, a lot!” Liam admitted. I laughed.
“No he doesn’t! Niall doesn’t love me! He won’t even talk to me!”
“I don’t know what I’m going to do with you two,” Liam said whilst shaking his head and walking out of his room.
“Liam!” I called from the door way to the boy who was making his way down the hallway.
“Dinners ready! I’ll save you a seat by your little boyfriend!” he called over his shoulder.
“Someone’s going to hear you!” I scolded him.
“Everyone knows already!”
“Screw you!”
I made my way to the dining room after hiding my journal in my bag. The boys were all sitting down and I was on the last five stairs. Only Niall had seen me come down. It really pissed me off because I had heard him say he loved me and Liam had admitted it to me, but I didn’t believe it. I thought he was still mad at me. I was on the last stair and my foot slipped, causing me to fall. Just before I hit the ground, two strong arms caught me. Niall.
"Rhi, are you okay? Please tell me you are okay!" Niall rushed. A few tears pricked my eyes, not because I was hurt, but because this was the first time Niall had spoken to me in a long time. His words were full of concern, sadness, and love?
"Ni, i'm fine. I promise I'm fine,"I told him. Niall steadied me on my feet and kept a grip on myhand even as I sat down next to him at the table. I looked at the other boys to see Louis, Zayn, and Harry exchanging glances and Liam smirking at me.
I rolled my eyes at Liam and attempted to ease up Niall's grip on my hand by whispering to him. He replied by loosing his grip and eventually letting go, but he kept a hand on my knee. What should've felt uncomfortable andawkward felt normal and and relaxing. Just knowing he was there, that the old Niall, my best friend, was back was comforting.
As I was putting a forkful of noodles to my lips, Niall leaned over and whispered in my ear.
"Can we talk tonight? I'll meet you outside after we eat," he whispered in a tone that was hardly audible.
"No," I whispered back while shaking my head. Niall leaned back in his chair and looked at me with a hurt expression.
"Why not?" he asked me quietly. We had earned the attention of Liam, and luckily only Liam.
"You hurt me Niall, you really did. I felt like I was nothing. Nothing. I needed you Niall. I was scared and confused but my best friend wasn't there," I told him loudly. I had been given the full attention of the entire table but I ignored it.
Niall began to speak butI cut him off.
"Just don't. I'm done eating. Thank you Mrs. Payne, it was delicious. Liam, I'll be in your room, okay?Goodnight boys," I said as I walked up the stairs, paying attention to each step, andto Liam's room.
I didn't have anyone to save me. I didn't need a superman, I neededone person. Super powers or not, in fight or not, idiotic or not(and in this case he was), I needed the same person all along. I neededNiall. But I wasn't letting him in until he earned it. Until he proved he would never leave me. I had been left so many times before.
I wasn't just scared of my life as a young, and probably single, mother. I was broken and I needed someone to save me.
Authors note: i am SO sorry. I thought this was way longer. I'm so ashamed of this chapter it isn't even funny. If I hadn't already published it, I would add more. But I guess it works out because all the REAL drama is coming soon, and its all happening in Mullingar. Any guesses on what's to come in the next chapter? Dedication if you are right or close(: Love you all, just remember, you ARE all absolutely B E A U T I F U L and don't let anyone tell you different. Another update soon, but I start school tomorrow and I have to finish IMYATB. This is probably not going to be very long. Somewhere between the length of Falling in One Direction and It's Me & You... And the Boys. So somewhere between 15- 19 parts, but I am going to TRY to make this longer.
