Matthew walked the halls like any other day. He felt everyone was busy in their own lives to notice him. Francis was too busy annoying Arthur. Alfred was too busy annoying Arthur also. Arthur was too busy trying to get a A in Home ec which he was still failing. He saw Feliciano walking to the same class he was, Art.
"Hello Feliciano," Matthew said trying to get his attention.
Feliciano turned around to see him," Oh ciao Matthew what class are you going to?
"I've been in your Art class for 2 months," Matthew explained.
"Oh that's right you were the one who drew pancakes,right?" Feliciano grinned.
"Yes I did and you drew pasta for when we had to draw our favorite food," Matthew smiled.
The sat down next to each other in art. Today they were going to draw something of how they feel inside. Matthew got colors of grey,black,red,yellow,and blue. He was drawing how he felt everyday. Feeling like the paper was helping him vent out. He drew the word who all around the page. The background was dark and grey. In the middle was himself not knowing what to do. He looked at it pleased with his work.
Feliciano looked at it," That's really good Matthew!" Matthew blushed at his first compliment.
The teacher came over to grade," Why Matthew that is a great piece of work. I know a way for you to get noticed. With that A hanging on the wall."
"Really outside on the wall?" Matthew asked.
The teacher grinned," Yes it's your best so far this year." She went to go hang it up outside the classroom. After the end of class Matthew looked at it feeling good about himself for once.
"Hey Matt?" a voice asked.
"What?" Matthew asked turning around to see Alfred.
"I really like your painting bro," he said giving him a hug.
"Thanks Alfred," Matthew smiled. He hadn't talked to his brother since last week's Trigonometry dilemma.
"Hey you want to sit at lunch with me?" Alfred asked just realizing how much his brother sits alone.
"Sure," Matthew smiled. For the first time in forever Matthew was finally getting noticed.
