Date night in the Spicer household was a favorite for both Cammilea and Heath, however, for very very different reasons.
Heath loved it because it was time to spend with just his lovely wife without work, or distractions, or annoying calls from his mother's secretary. Cammilea didn't have a job, so Heath picked up any odd jobs he could get to make up for what funds his business job didn't award him. He didn't mind it though. He just wished it wasn't so time consuming. Between making money and taking care of everything else, Heath truly cherished them moments he got to share alone with his wife, and date night was always the best way to rekindle their relationship.
Cammilea, on the other hand, liked date night for completely different reason. Date night reminded Cammilea of the early days of their relationship, back when Heath would splurge on her; Spending countless dollars on her and on buying expensive gifts and in return she would always tease him before things got steamy in his bedroom. She missed those days. At least back then she didn't have to think about the kindnesses he did for her and she never had to worry about what to do in return. When Heath bought her something nice, she'd reward him with sex, it was that simple. Things got complicated when things got domestic.
She didn't know how to reward him for working hard enough for the both of them to live off, or how to thank him every time he brewed the coffee she liked even though he hated it. She very well couldn't offer him sex every time he looked at her like she was all he needed because, as fun as it was, she'd be worn out at the end of every day, and he wouldn't have time to go to work.
It was easier when she could pretend none of it was love.
As always on date night, they dressed apart; Heath in the guest room and Cammilea in their room. He enjoyed being blown away by the beauty of his wife. Cammilea has seen Heath in nearly every state, but no matter what he was always nervous to present himself on date night. His wife was beautiful beyond belief, and He, as her husband, had a lot to live up to. Tonight, more than ever, he felt the nerves jittering up inside. He had big new, exciting news, and he wanted to share his joy with his wife. Standing in the mirror and hooking his cufflinks, Heath took a deep breath.
"Date night is a great night" he breath out, doing a little cha-cha in place before leaving the room to wait for his wife.
Cammilea was looking at her reflection in the window to fix her lipstick when Heath entered the living room. As always, Cammilea looked stunning. She donned a little black dress, one that dipped low in the back but was covered by the layers and layers of hair she wore down tonight. Heath felt underdressed in comparison, but there was nothing he could do about it. He always felt underdressed in her presence. Standing in one of his better suits with his shiniest pure gold cufflinks and his most expensive watch on his wrist, Heath knew that his wife would always shine brighter. She was always just so breathtaking. Heath was proud.
"Wow" was all he could manage to get out of his mouth. Cammilea glanced over her shoulder as if surprised to see him for a moment.
"Oh, Hey. You look good." She turned back to the window mirror and continued applying lipstick.
"And you look absolutely breath taking. If we do hurry out the door soon I'm not sure we'll ever make it to the club." The word club always grabbed her attention
"We're going to a club?"
"mmm" Heath hummed, wrapping his arms around her waist and nuzzling into her neck, pressing a kiss to the soft spot underneath her ear. "I'm not quite sure anymore."
