She took a pleasant trip to the other stores , she only found a couple cans of oranges which was plenty for her . She went on one knee to see what was on the ground , her hair swept against her cheek. It's too long. Standing up she walked towards the bathroom , went in , looked around for some intruders and stared into the mirror.
"Oh lee. I miss you."she whispered , she took out the scissors and aimed at her hair.
"Need to keep it short". Her hair fell to the floor , bit by bit , until it was as short as last time Lee cut it. Memories came back of how much she hated it. But it was for the best.
She headed back into the forest , a place like this isn't great to stay in .
She sat on a log and started to collect small dry branches for a fire. Making sparks with the stones , she heard something for the distance , people walking.
"Shit."
She hid behind an old oak tree and peeked from the side. It was someone familiar , a woman.
"Lilly..!?" She shouted , the person looked towards her and smiled.
"Clementine!" Lilly ran towards her and wrapped her arms around her cold body.
"How... How did you make it?" .
"I had my gun so that's all I needed. But where's Lee?"
"He...He got bitten". Clementine looked at the ground and back at Lilly.
They walks to the fire and sat down.
Nothing was said , a silence so calming.
"Do the think there would be a cure?"Lilly asked.
"I stopped believing a year ago".
